Devil's Nest, Wednesday

Schrodinger's mind was not on cocktails today. It was on the reading he had gotten off of Bel.

And he was very much hoping Lucifer came himself today. He needed a control to check. 'Cause something was seriously wrong.

And possible scientific testing if Lucifer himself shows.

Darth Vader didn't lounge.

But he was sitting in the shadows, observing.

"I was about to ask you if you wanted a drink. But then I remembered that you don't drink. Would you care to meet Lucifer?"

Vader inclined his head.

Schrodinger bowed and led Vader over to Lucifer (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/1353187.html?thread=60940003#t60940003).

Lucifer took his normal seat in the lounge after the club opened, he was reading from a small leather-bound book with no title on the side.

"Lord Lucifer, may I please introduce Lord Darth Vader?"

Vader nodded. It wasn't friendly, but he wasn't actually trying to kill him, either, so...yay.

Lucifer looked up from his book long enough to acknowledge Vader's presence. "Good evening."

"It is definitely dark out," Vader acknowledged. "I applaud your astuteness."

Vader was in a mood, apparently.

Lucifer closed the book carefully, placing it down on the table in front of him. His attention was now fully on the creature before him. He tilted his head and the corners of his mouth turned up in something like a smile. "Oh?"

"You expected me to bring flowers, perhaps?" Vader asked dryly, crossing his arms over his chest. "Mister Schrodinger had told me of you. I am merely here to observe."

Schrodinger stepped in between Vader and Lucifer. "Forgive me, but it's something that might interest you greatly as well. I recently got a reading on one of my instruments that is, well, impossible. I was wondering if I could use you as a sort of control so that I might understand exactly what my reading means. Because if it means what the Doctor thinks it might mean, it's very interesting."

A short nod was Lucifer's only response, his eyes never leaving Vader.

Vader stared back.

Not that anyone could really tell with the mask, but the evil was decidedly focused in one direction.

Schrodinger pulled out a strange looking device and flipped it on, pointing it towards Lucifer, adjusting the knobs a few times, and waiting for the result.

There was no focusing of anything on Lucifer's part, he felt no need for any of that. Vader's projecting, on the other hand, amused him greatly. He chuckled and leaned back in his chair, resting his elbow on the arm of the chair, with his chin in his hand.

"Care to let me in on the joke?" Vader asked, sounding anything but amused.

"You," Lucifer said simply.

"Sorry to interrupt, but do you have the power to block this scan?" Schrodinger asked.

Lucifer looked at the device in Schrodinger's hands. "If I felt the need to, yes."

"Could you? For the reading?"

After blinking once slowly there was a sudden disappearance, to anyone who was sensitive to such a thing, of power. "Satisfied?"

Schrodinger's eyebrows raised in surprise. "I think I might be."

He turned the device towards Vader, not paying much attention to Vader and Lucifer's conversation.

Vader looked down at the device. "Would you like me to perform...party tricks as well, then?"

"No need. Unless you can block me scanning as well. This is just a control. ....Huh. Well, that's very interesting."

"Interesting how?" Vader asked.

Not that he thought his evil bone fides would be in any way questioned, of course.

"I know what my reading was," Schrodinger said, tossing the scanner on the table. "Also, your Force thing apparently does show up on my instruments, but that's not important right now. What is important is that someone is blocking my scans of one of the students. Someone who, until recently, was a normal human. Although he wasn't one before."

"What was he?" Lucifer asked in a tone that implied he really didn't care, but was making conversation because it was the polite thing to do.

"A demon. A half-demon, as he claimed."

Vader nodded slowly. He knew exactly who Schrodinger was talking about.

Interesting.

"Should I assume that it is difficult to hide from your little toy?"

"It's definitely not easy. You'd have to ask the Doctor for the specifics. But something is blocking him from being read. And that's odd, considering he's just supposed to be a normal human."

Lucifer gave an interested little hmm. "If you're really that curious, have him stop by the club. I can give him a look."

It was all for Schrodinger's benefit, honestly.

"Well, I'll try. But I can't guarantee he'll listen to me. But we'll see."

Although beware, Schrodinger has a new camera he's tasked to use.
