The Devil's Nest - Thursday Evening 1/18

Like last week, Neil arrived early for his shift at the Nest, neatly dressed in perfectly pressed slacks, white dress shirt, tie and a blazer under his peacoat. He greeted Mazikeen with a friendly smile and tried not to feel forlorn when she pointedly moved the little umbrellas away from him.

Oh well, maybe next week.

Or maybe next month. In the meantime, Neil made a careful circuit of the Nest, mentally noting spots he needed to clean tonight and then headed back to the bar to start polishing there.

The Devil's Nest was open!

Come and get your drink on, so long as you are of age as we card here. Or come and see the nice shiney bar and order a virgin drink, Neil has been keeping up with his mixology studies!

Thursday arrived and sat at the bar. "I'll have a Dark Helmet." She even brought the recipe (http://www.drinknation.com/drink/Darth-Vader) on a slip of paper this time.

Recipes were his friend and Neil took the slip of paper with a friendly smile.

Studying it, he neatly measured out the various componants and then mixed them up as instructed and set the drink on a napkin in front of Thursday.

"There you go, Ma'am."

She sipped the drink. "Perfect, thank you. I'm afraid I don't know your name. I'm Thursday Next."

Neil beamed, pleased to have done a good job.

"I'm Neil Perry." He politely introduced himself with a nod of his head. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Ma'am."

"Likewise. You look familiar, but I haven't seen you around here recently. Have you been in Fandom long?"

"Since the start of the spring semester." Neil supplied, picking up a bar towel and wiping down on the counter.

"I just joined the junior class."

"I hear the junior class are very welcoming. They're a very diverse group. Both of my TAs are juniors. Perhaps you know them. Z Delgado and Seely Booth?"

Catching his lower lip between his teeth, Neil gave the two names some thought, trying to remember if he'd even heard them spoken in class.

"I'm afraid I haven't, Ma'am." He said with a rueful smile. "I don't go out much."

Mainly because he didn't try to go out much. It would just lead to connections that...would complicate things.

Thursday nodded. "Well thank you for the drink, Neil." She got up from her stool. "I'll see you around no doubt."

The Lounge - 1/18

After he had the bar under control, Neil moved into the lounge to carefully tend to the felt on the pool tables and straighten up the racks of pool cues and balls. He also tended to the chairs and tables.

If the Master of the Nest was in tonight, Neil left that area alone so that Lucifer had his privacy.

The Dance Floor 1/18

The dance floor was open, some big band swing playing tonight, fun music to dance and boogie along too, though it could be changed up, if customers asked nicely.

At the end of the night, the floor would get a fresh coat of wax and then polished to within an inch of it's life.

Neil was an over achiever like that.
