Seely was late.
Doom was late.
Rita was pissed.

Okay, she just looked concerned. But she was pissed. Tapping her watch. Looking down the street. And starting to get worried.

How can you rob a bank when your co-conspirators don't even show?

"Hey, Rita." Annette was walking up to atm, and spotted her new-found friend.

"What's going on?"

Oh, fabulous. Just what she needed. An audience.

"Nothing." She smiled, a little tightly. "I'm just waiting for a friend. He's late. How are you, Annette?"

Okay. The tight smile caught her off guard.

"Oh, that's nice. I mean, not that he's late." Buh... "I'm good. I mean as good as I can be in a town that's gone crazy. How are you?"

Annoyed. Impatient. "A little worried. We agreed to meet here at four o'clock, and, well. Nothing." Rita forced herself to relax a little. "Of course it's only a few minutes. I'm sure he just got held up. Have you found out any more about why this town is being stranger than usual?"

"I'm sure he will be here any minute then." She punched in her id number and withdrew tons of cash. Yes. Tons. Loads.

"No, I haven't. I might be getting used to the oddity though. I was propositioned twice yesterday." She looked over her shoulder at Rita, grinning a bit. "Kind of cool."

The sight of the cash had Rita's fingers itching. She curled her hand into a fist and kept it to her side. "Did you, now. Who by?" she asked, smiling sweetly. "Anyone I would know?"

"I'm not sure. I don't think they are quite themselves so I don't think they count." She said softly. Cause it really sucked to think that no one would hit on her if they were themselves. Dang it.

Annette put her cash away and gave Rita a big smile. "Well, I am sure he will show any minute. I've got to run! See you later, Rita!" She gave her a little finger wave and sauntered off down the sidewalk, pocketbook full of loot!

"Oh, I'm sure you have your admirers." Rita checked her watch again, smile becoming more absent. And then it took everything she had not to pull out a knife and swipe everything in Annette's purse. "Grrrr...."

If those two didn't show soon, she might have to take drastic action.
