The Perk; Sunday Afternoon.
Mary was positively fascinated the coffee shop; it wasn't at all what she expected and there were so many strange machines and sounds and smells that it thrilled her to no end. Thankfully, the barista was very kind and helped her to figure out what might sound lovely, and she ended up with a rather delicious sort of drink as she found a table to wait for her companion to arrive.
[[ Open for all your Perkly needs; Mary's here for Casanova, but you're welcome to say hi to her before he arrives ]]

He waved to the blond woman, wondering if she was a result of the weekend crazy or not.
"Morning."

And was instantly hit with a vision of why, and regretted the random thought with a wince.

He walked in, and waved to her when he saw her. "Good afternoon miss Mary." He smiled brightly. (http://pics.livejournal.com/00_nova_00/pic/00007cp7) ()

With a nod and smile he said, "It was a gift actually, but I find it suffices for important social gatherings and meetings such as this."

"I see you've already gotten a drink for yourself," he said pointing to Mary's coffee. "Perhaps you could help me as well."

"What a delight. I wonder how much such a drink would sell for back home. I would be a legend in Venice."

"You should visit some time if you have not been there." He leaned forward on the table also.
"But if you visit, it would be for the best, for your opinion of me that is, if you didn't inquire about me. I fear the public opinion of Giacomo Casanova is not always flattering."

In a lower yet serious tone he says, "But in truth I have never conquered. I only submit."

"Well then, where are you from that I may visit and learn of your reputation?" he asked with a grin.

"Where do you reside right now?" He tilted his head to one side. A mischievous grin crossed his face.

Anyway, he continued, "A convent you say? But you left?"

This all was really throwing him off. He had no idea what he was getting himself into while pursuing Mary's affection.

"I don't know what I was thinking," he said with sigh, allowing himself to lean back in his seat.
He looked at Mary for a while then smiled. "You really are an interesting person."

He was leaning on the table once again.
"What do you like to read? What are your favorite foods? What arouses y...your interests?"

He reached over the table to touch Mary's hand.
"It is what I enjoy," he said with a smile.

"Y..yes," she said with a small nod. "Love certainly is something to be cherished in a world such as this."

He had done enough naughty things in churches. He didn't regret what he said.

"I have no doubt," she said to him with a small smile, "that you are, dear Giacomo. I, however, know myself to be quite the opposite, and I'm certain the experience would only lead to the deepest of disappointment. I enjoy your company far too much to allow that to happen so soon."
no subject
"You can't say I didn't try. Still, the offer will always stand." He looked off with an amused smile.
