Aereopagitica: Monday 2-5 PM [1-22-07]

For the first time Lana opened the store praying that there would be no customers so that she could just hide away in the back and not have to see anyone.

"Good morning, Clark," Lana said in a very subdued manner. She couldn't help but think of the run-in with her Clark over the weekend and she blushed.

"The other..." Lana suddenly realized what he meant by this and her face went dead white. "You were..."

Her head went down, there was no way she could look him in the eye. "I can't tell you how sorry I am for my behavior," she whispered. "It was totally inappropriate and there is absolutely no excuse for it. I am very, very sorry."

Clark hadn't realized she didn't know that was him the other day. Oops. "I'm reasonably sure it wasn't your fault." Clark assured her. "The entire island seemed to be affected by whatever happened."
