Thursday
Today is not Opposite Day.

And, since it was, Rosette figured that called for the reinstitution of the little red devil outfit. Because what better opposite to a nun could there normally be? Besides, of course, how Rosette usually acted.

Chrono was a little skeptical with the idea. "Do you really think Opposite Day is a better 'holiday' to celebrate today then, say, I don't know, the Veneration of Saint Paul, or something?"

"No," Rosette responded with a grin.

"Then, why...?"

Facepalm. "Chrono, lemme explain this to you again..."

John stopped by. He... he missed the church. Yeah, that's it. The church.

After about the umpteenth failure at explaining Opposite Day to Chrono, Rosette just kind of gave up, and sprawled out on a pew with her arms drapped over the back of the one she was sitting in, big red, leather, very un-nunnish red boots to match the costume propped up on the one in front of her. She tilted her head back when she heard someone come in, and grinned. "Hi, John."

John stared at the blond, head thrown back, wearing a decidedly un-nunnish ensemble. "Hellooooo Nurse!"

Rosette considered this as an acceptable opposite, and decided that it didn't work. "Nurse and Devil aren't opposites, John," she said, head still tilted back with a grin, but then she realized holding her head like that made her feel a little lightheaded and she chuckled as she brought it back upright. She lowered her legs and turned toward him, resting a chin on the back of the pew she was sitting in, thus, for the moment, conceiling most of her dubious attire. "Please don't tell me I have to explain this concept to you, too."

"Sorry, you'll have to explain that when the blood rushes back to where it's supposed to go. Wow. Um. HI."

Rosette giggled. After that embarrassing failure with the Doctor, she could really have used a reaction like that to lift her spirits a bit. "You like?" she asked, sing-song voice.

JOhn, remembering the sign, spoke. "Of course not." There may have been a semi-audible "whoa" from John's direction.

"Oh, maybe I should take it off then..."

It wasn't until after she said it that Rosette realized what she meant to say was that maybe she should go change, and her face just might have been about as red as her dress.

"That looks like you need help. Is... is that, like, sprayed on?" John blushed a bit, too.

Er, sunlight striking the stained glass totally gave his face a red complexion.

Rosette chuckled a little nervously and shrugged her shoulders. "Well, it did take a bit of squeezing."

A little more than when she wore it for Halloween. Too much sex cake...

"I can only imagine. Wow. That's why I stick to kilts commando. It's not as binding." SHut up, John.

And that would be Rosette giggling. "You wear kilts, John?"

"They're comfy, let things breathe, and it's easier when wearing a cast than wearing the same two pairs of pants all the time. Plus? Totally hot." John smiled.

"I'll believe it when I see it," Rosette said with a wink, and, yes, that was a challenge.

"Well, wait until my leg's all better, and I'll wear it and just a smile just for you." He winked back.

He was in no way manouevering to stand behind the baptismal font so that he was... hidden.

Rosette smiled, then nodded in the general direction of the baptismal font...err, his leg. "How long 'til it's healed? Seems like it's been broken for ever."

"I'm supposed to have the cast off soon. Earlier this week, I think, actually. But... I never get out to the doc, because I don't want to walk in snow with it, so... it's been longer.

John adjusts his pants leg because it itches.

"Well, hurry it up," Rosette demanded with a nod and a smile.

"What are you gonna do to with for me if I wear a kilt?"

"Hey, you already agreed to do it," Rosette said pointedly, hand on her red leather hip. "You can't bargain after you've agreed to do it for nothing."

"Well, I think it'd be more entertaining if you weare wearing that. I might be inclined to make a kilt a regular part of my wardrobe around you."

Rosette's nose wrinkled a little in distaste for a brief moment. Man. If she was going to wear this again, she'd have to watch about eating all that cake...

Mmmm, cake. She wondered what Yuki'd think of the red dress. And then promptly shook her head.

"We'll see," she finally said, grinning. "Get the kilt, and then we'll talk."
