Mauvaise Chance Counter/Office, Thursday Afternoon [1/25]

Xander had wandered out to the office to try to familiarize himself with the building and system a bit, but while he was there, had finally got a return call from a certain Redhead v 1.0. Thus, he was wandering in and out of the office behind the counter, cell-phone in hand, having a conversation that contained a lot of this:

"No, seriously. Google Fandom."

"....okay, point. Google Fandom Island."

"Yes, an apartment complex. Doubleyew tee eff?"

The doors were open, though, and Xander was around for anybody who might need anything.

Sometime after Xander was there, Willow 2.0 showed up. She sat down behind the counter and set up the items she had brought with her, such as:

1) Cup for pens, pencils, and highlighters
2) Notebooks
3) A small plant
4) A sign that said "Assistant" in blue glitter and was decorated with stars and happy face stickers.

Willow then sat down behind the MCA computer and set about downloading things.

Xander peeked out of the office at her, and added a "No, seriously, seriously. Hang on a second," into the phone.

Then he came out, held it up, and said, "Say cheese?"

"Wensleydale?" Willow replied.

"Is that one slightly aged?" Xander asked, snapping a picture and then hitting Send. "Like the you on the other end of the line?"

Anybody in the office could probably hear a loud, "HEY!" coming from the phone.

At some point when Xander's not actually there, Bridge comes wandering over to the apartments.

"Oh, hey Willow!" he says, trying to keep the disappointment from showing. Not that he's disappointed to see Willow (okay, maybe a little scared, still). But he's disappointed *not* to see someone in particular.

"HI ME!" Willow called out.

"Hi Bridge!" Willow said. She sat up straight and attempted to look professional. "Are you here in an apartment-renting capacity?"

"Actually, I'm here in a just-visiting capacity," Bridge admits. "I don't think students are allowed to rent apartments anymore."

"I sure as heck couldn't afford one," Willow agreed. She sat forward with a smile. "Okay then, more relaxed. Hi! Were the notes okay? Need me to rewrite anything?"

"The notes were great," Bridge says with a smile. "Thanks for that. It's a shame evil villains from the future can't take things like school in to account when they plan these things," he grumbles.

"I've often said that," Willow agreed. "Keep world-ending and kidnappings to weekends, thank you very much! If we're stuck without classes we can at least get the evil fighting in then."

"At least I only missed one class, though," Bridge says. "Which is kind of a benefit of only actually *having* class three days a week."

"I have nothing today!" Willow said. "It's awful!"

"I had library duty," Bridge says. "There's books and there's work to be done so it's almost the same."

"Much like me," Willow replied, sitting up proudly. "There's computing and paperwork. Plus there's a little sign." She pointed to the sign she had made.

"I don't have a sign," Bridge admits woefully.

That got a long period of stuff you couldn't hear if you didn't have the phone pressed to your ear, and Xander saying quietly in an over-casual voice, "That's what I meant. It's only been five months. They're all that young."

Then, louder and to the Willow in front of him, "Slightly-aged you says hi dairy-fresh-you."

"Want me to make you one?"

"Tell older me I'm going to make spreadsheets for you," Willow said. "And forms."

Willow knew that she'd want to be reassured about that if she was herself.

"If you want?" Bridge grins.

"Sure!" Willow said. "What would you like it to say?"

"I don't know," Bridge admits. "Can I be an assistant assistant?"

"Absolutely!" Willow said. "I assume green for the glitter?"

"Yay!" Bridge grins. "And green is perfect."

"There are spreadsheets and forms," Xander repeated dutifully. "She says stay away from pink in the streadsheets because it tends to give me eyestrain," he said back after a second. "Which is true."
