Billy was a bit early for his date, so he got a table with easy view of the door.

Thankfully, ami was done at the salon on time and thus arrived to meet Billy exactly on time. She pulled on a hair strand self consciously. She had never done that to her hair before. Spotting billy she waved.

Billy had a brief moment of holy crap! before he remembered to wave back to her. "Hey good to see you." he said. "You look great!"

Ami made herself stop fidgeting with her hair and walked over. "Hey. Thank you. You always look great." *facepalm*

Billy's smile widened and he laughed softly. "Okay see now I might have to try to look wretched just to prove you wrong."

"That may be interesting. How are you?" She fidgeted with the hair again. It was a nervous thing.

"I'm good." he said. "Aside from yet another undeserved detention."

"Aw, what for? Or really just for no reason at all? I didn't make the cheerleader squad. I can't descide if i am sad or not."

"Well I'm sad for you." he smiled. "They've got this bizaar thing here, a detention lottery. So, you really don't have to have done anything wrong to get detention."

"Oh. that is sort of odd. Does that not do bad things to your permanent record?" Ami looked over the menu as they talked, marveling at the odd way things were spelled when Chinese got turned into English. "What is good here?"

"I'm not sure." Billy said. "I'd hope not, I kinda want to go to college after this." He looked at the menu himself. He'd eaten here once or twice, and handwavily reccomended a few dishes.

Ami nodded at some of the dishes and picked one. "Where do you wnat to go to college?"

"I don't know, I actually didn't realize I wanted to go till I just now said it. Somewhere with a beach maybe. Maybe Florida."

"There is always Hawaii. I hear there are beeches there."

"Yellow pages are definitly a start. And then there are reviews on the internet."

"Oh, yeah that's good too."

"You know what else?" Ami asked and not waiting for the response to the rhetorical, continued "there is a place kind of near Alexandria which is an all-fondue restaurant. I passed by it last weekend but did not go in."

"Fondue? I have heard of this, but, honestly don't know what that is."

"Is is" Ami made a vague hand motion "French. I think. It is interactive food. Um. Hard to explain. If you are open to new things, we could go and it would be easier to show you." She grinned. Fondue was one of her favorites.

"yeah, that sounds cool." he said.

"Excellent, it's a date." she said it and then blinked at what she said.

"Got any ideas?" AMi? Still kind of of the opinion that boys are supposed to ask girls out, if only totally technically.

"Hmm...any days you don't have classes?"

"That leaves Thursdays or weekends."

"Huh, thursdays I have two classes. Weekend it is."
