The Park, Tuesday Afternoon
After finishing up office hours, Aziraphale and Wilson had walked back from the school, so that the angel could strengthen the wards on their half of the house, allowing the young doctor the security he needed to catch a nap. Then it was off to the park for the angel, where he sat quietly on his favorite bench, wearing the ski jacket Wilson had bought him for Sunday's trip, and staring with a dark expression at the pond.
Occasionally, he broke off a bit of scone for the ducks who milled around his feet. But mostly, he didn't really notice them. He had a lot of thinking to do.

slr_mercury, but the park is open for all your parky needs.]

Making a bee-line for the bench with the most access to the ducks, she was startled to note someone already there. Oh. Well, maybe he would share.
"Hi, i am sorry to disturb you, but would you horribly mind if i shared your bench? It is just that i wanted to give this pop tart to the ducks, and this is the best bench for that." She looked at the man and smiled sweetly as she showed him the duck-destined pop tart.

"Of course, my dear. There's plenty of room, and I'm certain the ducks will appreciate the treat."
He shifted over on the bench to give her more room. "I believe you were on the ski trip, weren't you? Although we didn't meet. I'm Aziraphale."

"I was yes, were you one of the organizers?" She vaguely remembered Billy mentioning a similar sounding name.

//Your move// came a voice from the computer, in Japanese.
"Oh i am terribly sorry, i forgot to turn the sound off."

Aziraphale cocked his head curiously at the device. "It's quite all right. What are you playing?"
no subject
"Chess. I haven't found anyone at this school who plays so i play against the machine."

He peered over Ami's shoulder at the game. "You could put up some posters or something, perhaps. Don't students do that, to advertise things they're interested in?"

He studied the screen, and nodded at Ami's mention of the clubs. "There isn't a club for students who like to play chess, then? That seems like the sort of thing school have, don't you think?"
no subject
"My old school had one, yes, but i have not seen one here. It is a pity. If you ever wanted to learn though, i could teach you, the basics are easy, mastery takes a lifetime."

Aziraphale wasn't really sure how, actually. He'd never started a club before.
"I...suppose the school will have to approve it. So perhaps there's some...way to submit your idea? Perhaps to the office? And then...well, that's when you put up your posters, I suppose. I think the clubs all have teachers who assist with them, too."

Briefly she contemplated posters. "Oh. Do you know any teachers who might be interested? Wait are you a teacher? Do you think you could... maybe..." she looked up at him hopefully.

He looked a little taken aback at the request, but after a moment he smiled. "I am a teacher, yes. And if you really don't mind having an advisor who doesn't actually know how to play, I'd be happy to do it."

"Yes, I think they might indeed. Well then, I'm pleased to help you. When will your club be meeting, do you think?"

He saw the ducks and the kind human feeding them, and waddled over.
