Ching Tai, Tuesday Evening

It might have been a strange site for the waiting staff to see, a man in red and black body suit waiting around for his date.

Deadpool, of course, was ignoring any strange looks and wondering if he should have brought flowers. Or maybe some bullets. Bullets were romantic, right?

[[ooc: open for your Chinese food needs, thread with Wade and Tex locked to them please]]

Tex apparently did have the sense to not wear her armour on dates. She was however still sticking to the black theme, just in leather instead of layers of metal.

For all of two seconds she realised that she had no idea what Deadpool looked out without mask and then she spotted him sitting at a table, still very much wearing his suit.

"And I thought I was fanatical about my armour," she remarked as she slid into the seat opposite him.

Tex smirked, but didn't comment. "I don't give a rat's ass about what's proper. I'm just wondering how you're going to get the food past the mask."

"Uh huh," she said in a tone that very much suggested she didn't believe him for a second. "So I'm getting free food and a magic show?"

"Knives I could deal with," Tex decided seriously. "The shrimps are just messy."

"It's good that someone finally recognises that," Tex decided, looking rather smug.

"I don't usually work together with other freelancers," she replied. "They tend to get in my way and I don't like to share."

Tex nodded in agreement and picked up her own menu, wondering if she should risk the duck again. "So what kind of classes does a merc teach at that school?" she asked off handedly.

"I've seen some of the idiots that go to school there, I think I get it," Tex snorted. "So why bother?" She decided that ducks deserved to be eaten and put her menu to the side.

"You should watch yourself, this island has the tendency to trap you once you set foot on it," she warned and paused for a moment. "I won't ask."

"Let's just say that things got a little bit too hot where I'm from," she replied. "And then suddenly I was mayor of this dump."

[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com 2007-01-30 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
"Eh," she shrugged. "I got rid of the mayor job. Caught myself a penlicker and put him on the job. Less paperwork for me, but I still get to run the show."

Tex raised an eyebrow. "No. I've money and I've got an army. I don't need the headache that comes with politics," she said with a look of disgust. "Interesting hobby, though."

"No, but it's got spaceships," she pursed her lips in thought and shook her head. "The future's as screwed up as this time is. If not more. We're just blowing up different planets too."

The waitress finally seemed to deem their table worthy of her attention and wandered over to take their order. Tex ordered the damn duck. And sake.
