The Graveyard: Wednesday Evening

After class and meeting Xander, Mel was feeling... twitchy. Enough so that she went out on patrol and dragged Dawn along with her.

After an hour and a half of hunting around the graveyard though, she had about enough.

"Okay. This is ruttin' cold."

[ooc: open]

Dawn shivered in her wool coat, ear muffs, scarf, and hat. "No kidding. At least in Sunnydale we had warm weather. And, okay, Hellmouth and vamp central, but not dying of hypothermia was nice." On the other hand, so was not finding any vampires.

"Buffy used to get that way too," Dawn nodded, scowling a little as she got hit in the ankle with a rock. "She used to either work out ridiculously hard, or she'd...er, maybe doing what Buffy and Faith did to work off tension isn't the smartest idea."

Luckily, it was dark out, so Mel hopefully couldn't see Dawn's sudden blush. "Buffy did vampires, and Faith did everyone else, as near as I could tell."

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
Dawn snickered. "Flaking out when you first meet your Watcher is practically a tradition, from the little I've heard from Buffy on the subject. So, congrats, you're really a slayer."

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
"It really was," Dawn giggled, remembering as she walked, still keeping an eye out for vampires, demons, or Bel. "But seriously, we're not generally bad people."

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
Luckily, all this laughing was helping Dawn be warmer. "Did you just break up with me? Can we still stay friends?"

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
"That happens when you break up with someone? How did I not know that?" She pouted slightly, because for a week there, she could possibly have used the loophole with Dean. "And I think I'd have to check with Sam first, sorry."

Dawn was blushing pretty hard. "I'll, uh, pass that on."

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
"That can't be true! There's people here from the fifties, and the midwest, and private schools, and..." She started flailing. "I'm not!"

"It's my ostrich impression."

Chrono had alerted Rosette to the fact that there were people wandering in the graveyard. He himself seemed to have had a strong inclination not to go out there, but he had effectively piqued her curiousity. She bundled up a little and stepped out to make sure those crazy kids weren't trying to make sacrifices to the devil or something (if that were the case, she could kindly direct them to his bar, thank you very much). She leaned on one of the tall headstones, arms crossed over her chest a little, and quietly watched the two girls.

Wasn't one of them the sucker girl? Dawn? What the heck were they doing?

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
"Undead," Dawn corrected, also waving at Rosette. "Walking dead are zombies, and they play at Caritas."

[identity profile] nun-better.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
Rosette chuckled a little; okay, that definately explained it. She gave both the girls a little wave, amused because Dawn pretty much just took the words out of her mouth regarding the walking dead. "I'm afraid you two might be here for a while, then. I think everyone in this graveyard, surprisingly enough, plans on staying dead."

[identity profile] nun-better.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
Rosette sighed a little wistfully. "Yeah, she sure can...I miss hunting, too..."

She chuckled. "I might be able to convince Chrono to run around if you two are really bored..."

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
"I don't think that will be necessary..." Dawn glanced at Mel, hoping she'd agree.

[identity profile] nun-better.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
"Chrono is a demon," Rosette said, with a slight grin. "My demon, so, no, you can't kill him. But a little chasing around would be acceptable. Might do him good to have to stay on his toes a little bit, actually."

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
"You can chase," Dawn announced, figuring that if the demon wanted to play, it was okay with her, "and I'll watch and critique and pretend I'm drinking hot chocolate."

And then she started wondering what a nun was doing with a demon.

[identity profile] nun-better.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
"Critique?" Rosette asked, merely because if it was to help the other hunters, she might actually be able to convince Chrono to do it.

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
"The other one doesn't set himself on fire either," Dawn muttered under her breath, then added, "At least not on purpose."

[identity profile] nun-better.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
Rosette could only arch an eyebrow at that, really. Not that she was anyone to talk when it came to accidently lighting things on fire. Or crashing vehicles. Or collasping entire New York City blocks...

...hey, they were all abandoned warehouses! No one got hurt!

Too much...

There was another sigh. She did miss hunting. A lot.

Dawn thwapped Mel with her hat. "You and Alec, I swear. He got bored, and then we got invaded by trolls. It sucked."

[identity profile] nun-better.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
"The trolls only sucked," Rosette put in, with a wrinkle of her nose, "because they locked me in the church the whole time and I couldn't do anything but serve them tea all weekend."

[identity profile] nun-better.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
"Nope," Rosette pouted. "Worst invasion ever. Next one better be better..."

[identity profile] nun-better.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
Rosette nodded. "Nice meeting you, too, although, I didn't catch your name? I'm Rosette, by the way."
