Around the island - A little bit before 6PM

After all the information was finally gathered, five groups left the library armed with the spell that would hopefully banish all the shadows from the island once and for all.

The sun was already gone and it was pretty cool outside, maybe more so than normal. For now however, nothing seemed to be moving in the shadows.

((Yay finale! Wait for the OCD please! All up and I did not totally forget to come strike that comment through.))

Luke had not skittered towards the causeway because Jedi don't skitter. He'd moved quickly and with purpose.

It just looked a bit like skittering.

"Are we ready?" he asked, turning towards Dean and Katara.

Katara had kept a hand on her waterskin the entire way, ready to strike out if anything tangible appeared. She didn't have a plan for the intangible other than run.

"I am," she said, looking towards Dean and Luke and extending her hands to them.

Dean looked around them carefully one last time before he put his shotgun with rock salt down and stuck the scope shot (brought for its flares) in a pocket and took Katara's hand, holding out his other to Luke. "I'm not exactly thrilled with the not being able to defend ourselves while doing the spell," he complained.

Luke was concentrating on trying to be as solid as possible. "I'm pretty sure shooting at them doesn't work," he commented. He cleared his throat. "Everyone memorized that thing, right?" he asked. "We're ready?"

So. This was it. They were there, they were ready, they just had to wait for the right time and do this thing. Hadn't they waited enough. Watching the area closely for any potential shadows hanging around, Chad's lip curled and his armoured fist clenched. He almost hoped the bastards planned to stop them. The special properties of his armour would allow for him to hit the shadows; and he wanted to hit him some shadows something bad.

"Why does it have to be cold? Can't we get attacked by the demon of heat or something?" Alanna complained and wished she had a third arm to hold on to her sword with.

Rose shivered despite her layers of jacket and scarves. She had an energy gun tuck in the small of her back just in case the rhyming thing doesn't work.

"So, we're going to rhyme at this thing?" She asked.

Clark arrived at that moment, armed with a recently felt increase of energy, and three thermos' of cocoa for after. "Sorry if I'm late." he said, with none of his cusomary timidness.

Wyatt watched the shadows warily for any attack, checking his watch often to keep an eye on the time.

Sam followed quietly behind Wyatt, keeping an eye out for shadows, and on the other members of the group.

"Is this the point where there's an inspiring speech about saving the island and how we will be heroes always even though we died like punks?" Wade asked. "Because I'm not really down with the heroism thing. Ruin my street cred."

"How about we just kind of save the island, not die at all, and then go for coffee?" Nadia suggested, checking her watch. "Because I like that plan,"

Isabel kept a one on the shadows and one eye on her watch as they made their way through the woods.

Conner didn't have a watch, but he was keeping an eye on his cell phone -- synced to Isabel's watch -- as they moved.

Tori's watch was synced to match Isabel's, as well as, Conner's cell. She kept a careful eye on it and their surroundings, taking in the shadows, as they continued through the woods.

Tannim had his watch synced, but he was focused on keeping shields up around the group and watching for any shadows with his Othersight.

Also, trying not to trip over anything.

The post is up early, but if your group can only start later in the evening that is fine. If everyone on your group has AIM, then it's probably easiest to set up a chat shadowscreep + the number of your group (ex. shadowscreep2).

If not everyone has AIM, then I suggest using a tagging system. Have everyone of your group tag in in first and start on the spell. Then a shadow will tag in. From there on you should go like this;

1. personA
2. personB
3. shadow
4. personC
5. personD(or A)
6. shadow
etc.

Once you've figured out how you want to do this, grab Monster on AIM (FandomMonster) and she will find you someone to play a shadow for you.
