Blood Gulch Arms, Early Evening

The last Wednesday Wade was faced with a problem. His wallet had gone missing. He liked that wallet, it had all of his coupons for free food. Granted none of them worked here, but it was the principle of the matter, damn it!

So, here he was at Blood Gulch Arms for his wallet.

And it was closed.

This presented a problem. Would he still get nookie if he completely made a mockery of Tex's security systems? He really hoped the answer was yes, because he was kinda already doing that. You'd think someone from the future would have cooler things to guard the store. Like robot dogs with shark tails.

(Doom's probably already done that.)

"When I'm not with you baby I lose my mind, give me a sign!"

And he was signing horrible, horrible pop music as he got into the main part of the building. Insult to injury? Maybe.

The Gulch's security was mainly alarm which notified Tex immediately. But it was the lousy singing that alerted her to someone being in the store. Damn, she hated that song.

She didn't waste any time hurrying down the stairs of the apartment. She probably did recognise him, but simply didn't care as she didn't hesitate trying to deck him.

Tex crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow, knowing right away what he was talking about. "Why would I give you anything, you just broke into my store."

Never mind that she did steal his wallet.

"I prefer to personally kick whatever dumbass tries to break in here to having my security system deal with him," she replied, sticking out her chin stubbornly. "How's the jaw?"

Tex smirked, satisfied with the compliment. "I've got more where that came from."

"No, it doesn't. I'm more than happy to just kick your ass without you messing up my security system every time," she argued and glanced at the door. "And you better be able to fix it or there won't be any ass kicking or any sort of wrestling at all."

"You're just lucky I haven't updated the locks on anything but the weapons storage," she said and gave him a look. "And that's not a challenge."

"Body slide?" Tex questioned. She turned around and headed up the stairs to the apartment, expecting him to follow.

"We've actually got teleporters for that," Tex said. She headed straight for the bar to pour out two glasses of whiskey.

"Just the one that brought me here," she said, holding out the glass to him. "I shut it down."

"No, they're too big to lug around. He only connects to places in my time anyway. There's not much useful to do there," she said, sitting down on the couch and stretching her legs out on the coffee table.

"They normally don't have the balls to come claim it back," she said with a shrug. Which wasn't exactly true as Church seemed to come back, but she put that down to sheer stupidity.

She considered it for a moment. There was definitely some other kinky stuff they could get in to, but she didn't think that was it. "Nah, I think it might be the whole kicking them out part."

"Mostly. You weren't being that annoying," she said off handedly, taking a drink from her glass.
