School Board Brunch - Monday, All Morning, JGOB

Jeff, God of Biscuits was kind enough to open his doors to the town. There was free food on offer (well, free except where the school had paid for it all up front, but it was free for visitors) and plenty of tea, coffee, soda, milk and water to go around.

A banner was out front:

Welcome Fandom High School Board! Free Brunch 8:30am-11:30am. All welcome!

[OOC: No really, all welcome. Located in town so townies can join in on the fun.]

"We-ee-eelll doggies, would you look at all them viddles. Right nice of them town folk."

Jed grabbed a biscuit and a cup of coffee and was happy to mingle.

Scrooge did like doughnuts and other breakfast pastries, especially when they were in his favorite flavor; "free".

Batman got a tall, fresh glass of orange juice. And a donut. He had to maintain his athletic figure.

But the mun is going to sleep for a few hours.

Emma showed up out of sheer curiousity. It was Fandom, after all. Who could tell what the board members would be like? Initial impression? "Yes. Yes, this makes sense." Emma nodded, looking around.

Geordi had decided to stop by before he went to hold his office hours.

Rosette wasn't there for the free food. Really. She totally came to the brunch to help, by showing the school board that the community had such an outstanding pillar of religious morality.

Ellen was there, sipping coffee and wondering just what the board members were like given the school they oversaw - she was betting on even weirder than Hades.

Ami came by JGOB on the off chance that Billy had gotten her message and was going to come by. In the meanwhile, she had a cup of tea and a pastry.

Jake showed up with his sketchpad and entire Parker-given set of pencils. He got himself a coffee and sat down, ready to capture comedy gold in drawings. He might be giving people beaks. Even those that didn't have any.

Isabel got a coffee and a muffin and sat back to enjoy the show.

A squirrel--not a pirate--scurried behind a shrub.

Which had always been in J,GOB and had certainly not walked in of its own accord.

And squirrels are normally pushing six feet tall and wearing pirate books.

What are you, new?

The squirrel--not a pirate--sat behind the totally legitimate shrub and began taking pictures.

Delores was on her cellphone already, checking in with her housesitter to make sure that Murray was getting his dialysis on time.

Yes, you're hearing right, she's meowing. She's asked to speak with him.

Gomez looked far, far too happy as he looked around JGOBs.

Batman looked around, trying to figure out who here could be trusted to fight for right, who would try to trap him in a giant gumball machine, and who was safe to get a bat-pickup line.

A cloud of smoke appeared on the counter. "I am the terror that FLAPS in the night. I am the steaming hot jelly in your heavily powdered doughnut. I...am DARKWING DUCK!"

Having made his entrance, Darkwing leapt off the counter, cape flapping behind him, and headed for the nearest plate of caramel tarts.

With a sparkly bright light and a futuristic whooshing noise, Captain James Tiberius Kirk was transported into JGOB. He took a quick look around, and then smiled, nodded, and headed over to the refreshment table.

Yes, he's grinning.

"Think I'll just set a spell and see what happens." Sitting back in a chair he drummed his fingers on the tabletop, maybe wishin' he shoulda brought his shotgun. Just in case somethin' bad arises.

Mitch was there, dressed in typical lifeguarding attire. His orange buoy was at his side, a whistle was at his neck and there was no microphone in sight.

Honest.

He was scanning the area, looking for any unsafe activity that he might be needed for.

Marilla sat herself down at a table with a cup of tea. Her lips were a bit pursed as she looked around. Either she was disapproving or trying not to laugh. One or the other.

Sophia was standing in front of one of the display cases, inspecting the cannoli. If the cannoli on the island was lousy, that was going to be a bad, bad sign right off.
