Junkyard, Tuesday evening

River had pulled the tarpaulin off the small ship and was busy examining it. The squirrels had done a surprisingly good job, but she didn't have the talent Kaylee have to know exactly what one could expect from any spaceship. She waited for the expert to arrive.

[ooc: for Kaylee]

After her shift at Empire Records, Kaylee headed to the junkyard to meet River. She waved when she arrived. "Hi River."

Kaylee stared at the ship in awe. "Where'd you get it?"

"The squirrels built it?" Kaylee repeated somewhat warily. Then she smiled. "That's nice it was a surprise for me."

She started walking around it, inspecting it closely. "Why do we need to use it? Plannin' a trip?"

"What dreams?" Kaylee asked, concerned. "I ain't ever heard of Miranda."

She continued to inspect the ship, tapping on it. "Seems sturdy."

River seemed to be very serious about this, so Kaylee decided to give the ship a thorough inspection. She didn't have the formal training for this, but she still understood ships.

She checked on all the mechanical aspects of the ship. She didn't recognize the type of engine used, but at least it wasn't a gurtsler type. Kaylee wasn't fond of those. She still understood how this one worked, so that was a plus.

"Can't believe squirrels built this," Kaylee said. "Cause it sure seems fit for flyin.'"

Kaylee thought about that for a moment. "I s'pose I could do that."
