Arms Hotel: Sunday Brunch 2/11

The ballroom was set up as per usual with an omlette bar, coffee and various juices and milk, cereal, bagels and toast, all the traditional breakfast foods. Even, some British ones.

Come, eat, drink and be merry. For tomorrow, we can eat, drink and be merry again.

no ocd, just come and have fun.

Aiden came down to the Sunday brunch as usual, picked up a bagel and some coffee and found a free table.

"Aiden hello." Clark greeted her. "How's business?"

Aiden grinned over at Clark, "Hey," she said in return.

"Business is so-so, but I'm getting by, which really is the most important part. How's things going for you?"

"Oh very well." Clark smiled. "The school board visited last week, which made things rather interesting."

"Ah, yeah," Aiden nodded. "Saw a lot of 'em wandering around," she said. "Weird bunch."

"Even for Fandom." Clark agreed. "Not bad hotel guests though."

"Guess that's something," Aiden remarked. "You'd kinda expect they would be," she continued. "Being supposedly respectable school inspectors an' everything."

"Supposedly yes. But very eccentric. I believe two of them were superheroes of a sort."

"Really?" Aiden nodded a little impressed. "Now, that's something I haven't encountered around here," she said. "Interesting."

"I believe the Dean of Students is one." Clark said.

Aiden raised an eyebrow, "We had an, albeit three minute long, date, he never told me that." She fiddled with her cup of coffee. "I just thought he had a thing for blue," she said. "Makes more sense the other way, I guess."

"Blue's a nice color." Clark smirked. "That must have been an interesting date."

"It was..." Aiden paused for a moment, searching for the right word. All she came up with in the end was, "Different. He seemed very nice. He probably makes a good superhero."

Clark remembered seeing The Tick a few times. "I would imagine so. He looks formidable."

Aiden chucked. "Not sure how looking formiddable helps when it comes to that, but I'll take your word for it."

"Oh I used to help write stories about a superhero for the newspaper back home." Clark said. "He once told my collegue that presentation was half the job."
