Sparky Repairs, Tuesday

Teddy still couldn't think of a present for Chad. He was banging his head on the counter, waiting for inspiration as Goth patted him on the shoulder comfortingly.

Sparky's is open for any non-romantic needs.

Chad was really bored, so he decided to brave the icky weather and go visit Teddy toward the end of his shift so that maybe when he was done, they could walk back together, or something. "Hey."

Teddy straightened up quickly, covering up the list of stupid ideas he had so far. "Hey!"

Grinning a little, Chad approached the counter so he could greet Teddy a little more properly with a little kiss. "Slow day?"

And away the notebook went, under the counter. Teddy stood up on his toes to give Chad a kiss. "Always a slow day here."

Chad could be pretty oblivious to things sometimes, but the extracation of the notebook from the scene wasn't exactly subtle, so he had to ask, "What were you writing?"

"Nothing!" Teddy said a little too quickly. "Nothing. Just, you know, stuff."

"Nothing, huh?" Chad didn't look very convinced, but, as he moved in for another light kiss, he realized he really didn't care that much, either. "You're out soonish, right?"

"Yeah," Teddy replied. "Why? Are you here to escort me home?"

Chad shrugged. "If ya want."

With a quick grin, Teddy gave him another kiss. "I'd love it. Just let me close up and we can go."

The grin and the kiss made Chad feel a little better; he was worried that maybe Teddy was going to think it was a corny thing to do. He nodded, and leaned (carefully) on the counter while Ted finished up with whatever it was he had to do.

"We're still good for Thursday, too, right?" he asked.

Teddy nodded as he grabbed his turned off the lights and grabbed his coat. "Where are we going anyway?"

"Dinner," Chad said, "Cafe Fina, special reservation and free." There was a small grin for his great victory. "An' then a surprise."

"Free?" Teddy asked, mostly to himself. "A surprise, huh? Will I like this surprise?"

"I hope so," Chad said, slight furrow of his brow (not that it could be seen, anyway). "If not, I'm in trouble..."

Teddy leaned against him. "As long as it isn't something weird like a threesome, I doubt I won't like it."

Now why didn't he think of that...?

Chad leaned back. "Nope. Jus' us."

"Then it already sounds like a perfect night."

That definately earned Teddy a hug, arms draped over his shoulders from behind, with Chad resting his chin lightly on the top of his head. "It should be Thursday now," he decided.

Teddy chuckled. "It totally should be." But then Teddy wouldn't have aaaany time to come up with a present for Chad.

"Ready?" Chad asked, moving his head as he leaned down for a quick kiss on Ted's cheek before letting him go. "Maybe Katara will be out of the room when we get back..."

Bet Chad never knew Teddy could move that fast. He was standing by the door, grinning impishly. "And reason we're waiting around then?"

"Good question," Chad grinned, heading toward the door.
