They hadn't had the Perk's splendid coffee in awhile. It had been much too long...

"I'll have a mocha latte." "And I'll have a mint double-shot espresso." They both turn to listen to Ranma's order. If he hasn't had coffee before, he was going to try it, damnit.

"I um..." He looks back and forth between them, "what should I get then..?"

"Hmmm..." The twins considered Ranma for a moment, and then considered the list of drinks. "Probably a capachino." They nod and report the order.

"Right. Doesn't coffee keep you awake..?"

"Yeah. That's it's main purpose." They leaned against the counter to wait for the drinks to finish.

//Eh...? Well... if you say so.// He picks up his finished drink and takes a sip. //Hot!//

That couldn't get away without a good laugh. //"Sorry, that you may have noticed the steam and assumed it was kinda hot."//

//"Well now you know!"// Hikaru grinned, blowing his own and asking the person behind the counter for a bowl of water. Mizu was looking kind of thirsty from all the stick fetching.

//That's true.// Ranma moves to sit down at one of the tables and Mizu pants along behind his heels.

Hikaru took the bowl of water and set it down by the legs of the table, both twins sitting in chairs at the same table. //"Doesn't taste too bad, though, does it?"//

Ranma nods and attempts to take another sip. This time it want's so hot or painfl. Whew.

Both twins smile and drink their own. Now that they're plenty far away from Setsuna...they consider the topic wide open.
//"So, you doing anything with Setsuna later?"// Kaoru asks, wanting to see if he was just as oblivious as they thought and hadn't planned anything at all.

Aw, although they were depressing Ranma with every new comment, it was so amusing watching him react like this. He really needed to be more confident about things. They shrugged and figured he'd be pleasantly surprised later.
