"It is nice out, isn't it?" Ami looked up at the full moon that showed briefly through the clouds.

Billy looked at the moon reflecting off the ice covered snow. "Yeah, yeah it is." he agreed, taking her hand. "Carefull it might be slippery."

"I will just have to hold on, won't i?" Ami threaded her arm into his. That was nice. "Did you have a nice day today?"

"Yeah class today was pretty interesting."

"Cool." Ami let go and ran ahead in the cold air. Suddenly she giggled and gathered up some snow. Forming it into a loose ball she tossed it at Billy.

"Ack!" Billy shouted, ducking. "Carefull there's-" one foot slid on an ice patch and he went down, catching himself without any injury. "Heh. There's some ice around. You wouldn't want your boyfriend damaged would you?" he asked from his spot on the ground.

Ami's hand flew to her mouth. "Ooops." She rushed over to make sure Billy was alright. "Are you ok? I am sorry." she said rather chagrined.

"I'm okay. Just if you throw a snow ball, make sure it's just a snow ball. Never throw a slush ball at someone. A slush ball has ice, and gunk in it."

"I wouldn't do that! That was just powder." Ami said indignantly. But she did hold out a hand to help Billy up.

Billy took her hand but attempted to pull her down to him instead.

Ami? Totally toppled over. "Eeeee!"

Billy made sure he was what she landed on. So she didn't hurt herself landing on ice, or something hard, or get slogged in slush. Really. That was the only reason.

Ami was rather startled to find herself in a heap on top of Billy. Not that she minded terribly much. At least she didn't land on ice. Or something hard.

"Sorry." Billy apologized, though he wasn't all that sorry.

"You so aren't." Not that she moved or anything.

Billy pulled off one glove and stroked her cheek with his fingers. "No." he admitted. "No I guess I'm not."

Ami smiled at him. "Hi there" she said softly, freeing her own hands from the mittens she was wearing, and cupping his chin in her hands.

Billy smiled and moved his fingers up into her hair, leaning up to kiss her. His other, still gloved hand slid up to the small of her back.

Ami kissed him back, her hand trailing down the side of his face and neck. Her mind on the other hand was silently flailing inside her head.
//On my god, here i am kissing a boy, alone, in the dark, outside, far away from everyone, which is better then the common room and it's squirrels, but dark! alone! night! Valentine's day! eep!// Her thoughts were goign around in little circles. This was clearly exactly the thing the Nun told her not to do.

Billy's thoughts were somewhat flaily as well as he continued to kiss her and stroke her hair. But they were also rather ordered.

She's a nice girl, not like the other girls you've dated. Just take it slow. No need to rush anything, let things proceed at their own pace.

Ami continued the kiss, but then stopped and pulled back. Panic flickered across in her eyes. What was she doing? And what if she did it wrong?

And now Billy wondered if he'd done something wrong. "What, what's wrong?"

"N-nothing." Ami stuttered. "I am just..." her voice trailed off, not saying what she just was.

Billy kicked himself. That must have been too soon. "I'm sorry." he said, moving to rise and help her to her feet as well.

Ami? Kicking herself mentally. //Stupid girl.// "No, no. don't be sorry. I'm sorry." She had totally ruined everything hadn't she?
