In Town - Afternoon, Before the dance

Tori was excited. She, Annette, Ami and Katara were all set to go to Theodorics, to get pampered before the dance.

Tori had never really done anything like this before, seeing she was friends with only guys back home. She grinned, tonight was going to be so much fun.

Turning to the girls, she grinned excitedly. "Are you as psyched as I am?" No, Tori didn't get to be a girl very often.

"I'm totally ecxited!" Annette said, grinning wide.

Ami had been here before, but it was no less exciting. She nodded to Tori. "I am. I think i want curls again. You?"

[ooc: i think we are modding Annette? how about ami, tori, katara, repeat?]

Tori smiled. "I'm not sure yet. I know I want it down at least... maybe with some curls or something."

Katara was fingering her hair loopies and looking a bit worried that people would try to touch them. "Do you get to tell them what to do?"

"Yeah you do. And there are pictures, so you can point out one you like." Ami nodded enthusiastically. "It's what i did last time."

Tori nodded in agreement with Ami. "If you don't want them to do something, they'll listen." She added. "They're usually pretty compliant about this sort of thing."

Katara grinned at the other girls. "Okay, this is going to be fun." She started to undo the waist-length braid she always wore. "You both should definitely get something with curls. It would be so pretty."

"I think I'm going for an updo." Annette said, piping in with a grin.

(ooc: hah! I've only got a sec or two, so thought I'd toss in a one-liner!)

Ami nodded. "I think i will get curls. And then just leave it be loose or maybe put up?" She picked her hair up in a bun and looked questioningly at the other three.

"An up do would be great for you Annette." Tori smiled brightly. She then looked to Ami. "I think either way it would look great. Maybe leave it loose?" Tori suggested. "I think I may do a half up, half down look."

Katara nodded, agreeing with Tori. "Maybe you could pull part of your hair back, Ami? Or to the side with a clip so it doesn't get in your eyes?" She looked at Tori. "Can you put a flower maybe? In the up do part?" Katara ran her fingers through her hair. "I don't know what to do. I've never worn my hair any other way."

"Maybe... Or put something blue in, to go with my dress. Maybe a ribbon?" she mused out loud. "Tori, which half, left or right?" she giggled, as she imagined Tori with half her hair up.

"That all sounds good. I like the ribbon idea, Ami." Tori admitted. She then laughed. "I don't know, the right?" Tori winked. "Should I put half up in a ponytail and leave the other half down? Or just leave it all down? I can't decide." She looked to the other girls for help.

"Put the top half up," Katara said with a nod. "And make the other half curly? Maybe?"

"And little springs of curls at the ears." Ami suggested nodding. Then she looked at Katara. "You have such lovely long hair. And you never wear it loose. Maybe you should, for the dance?"

Tori smiled. "Those all sound like great ideas. I think I'll do all of that." She really did appreciate the help. "I agree with Ami. I think it would be a good look, at least to have some of it loose, if you don't want to do it all."

Katara put her hands on her hair. "You don't think it would be funny? Maybe I could just have the bits in the front pulled back like they usually are. And the rest loose?" She smiled. "I think I'd like that."

"Oh that would be wonderful!" Ami said. "It would keep it out of your eyes too, i think."

"Definitely." Tori agreed. "Go for it." She smiled.

Katara beamed at the three other girls. "We're going to all be so pretty! Oooh, I think they're ready for us?"

Ami looked around and noticed the salon ladies (and one gentleman)waiting for them. "I think they are. Who wants to go first?"

"I guess I'll go unless someone else wants to?" Tori offered. She thought maybe Annette would maybe go first.

Katara let Annette go on ahead. "Okay, I get why dances are fun now. Even if we haven't actually danced yet."

"I think getting ready is supposed to be part of the fun." Ami said.
