So this is how it came to be that two small boys, one dark haired and wingless the other winged with golden, angelic curls came tumbling through the door.
"I won, I won!" Jimmy crowed as he picked himself up and helped Azzy to his feet.
Giggling, they trotted to the counter did not, did too!ing all the way.

"Parker!" he said happily. "Immy wants cookies. Wanna cookie?"

"Parker wanna cookie! An Immy!" he announced to the person behind the counter. Then, remembering her question about magic words, added, "Pease!"
Apparently he wasn't concerned about the money.

To soften the no-hugging-- and after wiping off her leg with a napkin-- she went up to the counter and ordered a huge chocolate ice cream sheet cake. "Don't say I don't care about you. People who don't care don't buy you nice things."

"Dunwan t'ings. Wan' 'ugs." He said but as Parker seemed pretty firm on the no hugging rule, he turned and took little Azzy's hand.
They could go find hugs and little Jimmy didn't feel like a cookie anymore so he tugged his little winged friend and headed on back out the door in search of hugs!
Poor ducks.
