The Devils Nest, Sunday Night

Shuichi toddled into work right on time for his night shift-and made sure to take a nap right before it too. He knew Eiri was coming by at some point to keep him company, so he set up a stool behind the bar and climbed up to be the look-out. So many of the pretty bottles were out of reach while all the juice seemed to be kept in a lower cooler, very easy to access.

Bored with playing look-out, Shuichi went about setting up a line of plastic cups on the bar. A cherry lolipop poked out of the corner of his mouth and once his line was set, he stood at one side of the bar breifly before running by with his arm stretched out, his goal to knock all of the cups as far across the room as he could. Although it seemed like a quick thrill, Shuichi was determined to set them up over and over again until someone came to join him.

Watch out for flying cups. Juice and lolipops are totally ready to be served.

A very cross looking Rosette, with a very stern looking Chrono in tow, stopped into the bar. She climbed onto a stool, and sat, arms crossed tightly in front of her, pouting toward Shuichi.

Shuichi hopped up onto the stool once he heard someone come in, realing back a little once he saw that it was Rosette who had come in. "Eep!"

Rosette mumbled something; she wasn't looking at Shuichi and there was no way it could really be heard.

After he'd cautiously given her a good look-over and discovered that, at the moment she did not seem like a threat, he leaned his hands on the counter and tilted his head toward her. "Want some juice..?"

Rosette took that to mean that he heard it. Good. She nodded soberly. "Yes, please."

Shuichi grinned and slid off the stool and onto the ground. A few moments later a glass of apple juice and a glass of orange juice were pushed onto the counter before Shuichi climbed back up. "I dunno which you like, so I got both!"

"Wellllllll," Rosette considered, "I don't really like orange juice, so...I guess you can have that. If you want." She very happily reached for the apple juice.

Shuichi hopped a little in his seat, "Thank youu~" He picked up the orange juice and took a drink, sighing pleasantly after. "Orange juice isn't very yummy with cereal." He shook his head and stuck out his tongue. He had cereal on the brain. It had been his main fuel source for the past two days.

Rosette smiled at the little happy sigh that escaped Shuichi and patted his head proudly. "You seem in a much better mood today. That's good."

He grinned and nodded enthusiastically. He'd found Eiri! That was something to be very happy about. "Me and Eiri ate cupcakes today!"

Rosette's lower lip jutted out a little; it trembled slightly. "Cupcakes? You guys had cupcakes without your big sis Rosette?"

Shuichi's eyes widened a little at the jutty lip. "We still have some!! You should come over and share the rest with us!!" His drink swirled in the glass as he bobbed around, trying to make her feel better about the cupcakes.

"Really? I can come over and have cupcakes with you guys?" The jutty lip was beginning to turn back into a smile.

"Yeah! Tonight, if you want! They're yummy." He holds up a finger and grins widely.

"Yay!" Rosette gave him a hug. "Cupcakes with Shuichi and Eiri! An' Wade, too, right?"

She was excited about cupcakes and that Shuichi was in a better mood, but she always didn't want to be stuck hanging out with just babies.

"Yep! He lives there too!" Shuichi cheered inwardly. Cupcake party!

"Awesome!" Rosette announced, and lifted her cup of apple juice. She'd definately drink to that.

"SHUHUIIICHIIIII!"

In the middle of his cup knocking, the scream of his name startled him and he jumped, a few of the cups hopping up in the air with him. Once the fright had passed, however, Shuichi hopped back up onto the stool to see who'd come in. "Wade!" He grinned over the counter.

"Can I have some, um," He thought about it. "Apple juice an' orange juice an' soda in one glass?"

"Okay!" He prepped himself and then jumped down off the stool, making some rumaging noises as he got the juices and glass out. Being careful not to spill any, Shuichi poured the drink out while squating down on the ground. He couldn't really reach the counter and pour at the same time... so this would have to do.
Once he was done he reached up on tip toes to set the glass down for Wade before climbing back onto the stool. "Does that taste good?" He never thought soda and juice would make a very good combination.

Wade sipped it slowly before nodding and grinning. "Try it!" He pushed the drink toward Shuichi, not worried about cooties. Boys didn't have them, only girls.

Shuichi picked it up with both hands and tried a sip, putting it back down before 'Mmm'ing. "It's weird but yummy!" He grinned. The fizz of the soda making the two juices a lot better tasting.

"Where's Eiri at?" Wade asked. He was worried about the little guy.

"I dunno... he said he was gonna come by but..." Shuichi pouted. Obviously Eiri hadn't come by yet and he was worried as well.

Wade frowned. "Maybe he saw a duck."

Shuichi frowned and tapped his palms on the counter. "Does he still have the water gun for protection?!" What if night ducks were vicious?!

"I think so." Now Wade was starting to panic too.

"He can run too if it gets really bad.." Shuichi figited with one of the empty plastic glasses, hoping that Eiri could run and shoot a water gun at the same time if the ducks decided to attack.

Wade sipped at his drink, hoping that there weren't attack ducks. Eiri wasn't brave enough to take them on.

Shuichi figited some more, pulling his orange juice glass over from earlier and reaching down to grab the soda. He really wanted some more of that fizz... maybe it would calm him.

Shuichi is an open-minded kid; he's totally ready to expand his cup-knocking area from the bar to the lounge at any time.

It took a good amount of hopping and chair stacking to get to the CD player tonight. Kidz Bop 7 was playing once he'd gotten up there and he was spinning around on the dance floor to the music.

Sunday's come too quickly on the weekend. I do, however, have some silly putty to ease my sorrows.
