The Park, Sunday Morning

The Alien craft hovered in the park, right where Rose and the others had left it. Presumably the bodies of the dead Aliens have been moved.

Rose returned to the park really early, she stared at the hovering ship and remembered the alien voice vowing humanity's death and there was no way in hell Rose was going to allow that to happen.

She checked her rifle charges again then resumed studying the ship.

Deadpool wasn't drooling over the gun still so don't imply otherwise. He was merely observing it with reverence.

"Hiya again!" He said, waving the Uzi at Rose cheerfully.

Rose waved, "Back, come back for the party?"

"Well I got this pretty new dress and had absolutely nowhere to wear it!" He replied, holding up the gun.

"You know what they say, the more the merrier." Rose said with a grin.

Tori hadn't gotten much sleep last night, but she was ready and willing to kick alien butt when she showed up at the park, semi early.

Flashing back to what the alien had projected into her mind, Tori formed her hands into fists and vowed that she wouldn't let that come to pass. No one was going to die today, except for the aliens.

Deadpool was more than ready for action. And, while he didn't appear much more armed than usual, there were extra weapon hidden on his person today. Guess how many. Go on. Guess!

It was twenty.

He had his swords and a handy dandy Uzi strapped to him as his first choice weaponry. A girl has to have options, ya know?

What, you thought Conner wasn't going to be here? Of course Conner was here, the sword Al had transmuted for him in hand. It was almost a legal requirement for him to be here.

"Minion! Dig the sword. What brings you to this little armed shindig?"

"Prof D!" Wow, it was almost like fighting with his old science teacher. Except totally not. "Thanks! What, did you think I was going to sleep in on Sunday when weird smelly things are trying to use my friends like . . . smelly preserved fetal pigs?"

He always had hated bio lab.

(What an accurate, yet disturbing description.)

"Hmm, sleeping in does have it's benefits," Deadpool replied. "Try not to get killed by aliens. You're a good minion and I'd hate to have to find a new one."

He paused and reached into one the pouches, pulling out a small handgun. "Want a gun?"

Conner looked at the gun, and his Minion Rating might have gone down a notch or two as he twitched just a bit. "Thanks, Prof D, but I'm not really good with them. Shawn over there knows how to use them, though."

Deadpool nodded, satisfied that his minion wouldn't die screaming.

"Best of luck with the slaughter of an invading force!"

It was a little scary how cheerful Deadpool was about that. Just a little.

Okay, maybe a lot. Conner was pretending not to think about that too much right now. "Right back at you, teacher-dude!"

Shawn headed down to the park after getting Conner's message (http://justmisplaced.livejournal.com/320.html?thread=30784).

Abduction going down? Of course he wants to help out.

"Hello unarmed person who wants to help with the alien abduction and probably has a long and tragic back story explaining why that I don't care to hear." He held out a handgun. "Here. Have a weapon."

"Uh.." Shawn stared for a moment before accepting the weapon. "Thanks, man."

He pointed over toward Conner. "Thank the minion."

Shawn resisted the urge to snicker at the idea of Conner the minion, because, middle of an alien invasion and everything. "I'll have to do that, later," he said instead with a slight smirk.

Chris showed up with Conner ~~even though I'm hours late~~.

And Wyatt was right there, too.

Setsuna arrived, with Yuunagi slung over her back and Daisuke worked into a belt of a harness around her waist...just in case anyone might need the extra weapon, and a fierce need to slice up some aliens big time. Not only was it helping save lives, but it could also be a little thereputic.

For anyone who is not going with the rescue party but wants to notice the big hullabaloo. ~~that's a fun word~~

The ship stands ready to return to the mothership. By amazing coincidence, not only are it's systems compatible with a Mac computer, but the controls are almost identical to those of a human craft.

Tori walked onto the ship and held in the urge to shudder. She focused on the objective of getting her friends out and making sure the aliens didn't have the chance to take anyone else.

She decided to hang back a little, let the others do what they needed to do. If someone wanted something done, Tori would see to it.

Look at the size of that thing! The Alien Mothership is as big as Manhattan Island.

Tori couldn't believe how big the Mothership was. It was enormous!

But, that didn't stop her from knowing they'd be able to rescue their friends.

When it became clear that something very disruptive and possibly disastrous was happening, the Alien Commander ordered several ships to the planet below. The humans on that island could not be allowed to live, they were too dangerous.

A Dozen fighters burst from the hanger, speeding for the surface.

The lead ship noticed something strange up ahead of them.

//That can't be what it looks like.//

The thing that looked like a Human blocking their path with arms crossed, shot towards them in a blur of blue and red.

Rose stared at the mothership, she should be outraged or scared but really all Rose could feel is a giddy sense that she's finally back on a spaceship and she's finally, finally in space again.
