Steerpike was beginning to regret having taken this position in town. Leo obviously had no power to speak of, few people ever came to actually hand over any good blackmail material, and today, it meant getting absolutely soaked making his way over from the school.

Still, the fact that it was raining, showing no sign at all of letting up . . . should it keep this up, there might be chaos ahead to take advantage of. That could certainly be interesting.

For now, he was behind the counter, reading a book on political coups in Africa and South America.

Fascinating stuff, really.

The Photo Hut was open.

Leo came down with a plate of brownies that he'd just baked. He set them where Pearmike could find them. Poor kid was way too skinny. Didn't his parents feed him? Then he got distracted by the rain.

"Wow man that's really comin' down."

ooc: if you want to play with him getting stoned, then they are special brownies. if not, they are normal :)

"Yes," he said simply. "It is."

"Nothing that I was unable to handle."

"That's good man." Leo nodded. "So, how's school goin'?"

"For the most part, it is a waste of time."

Leo nodded. "Yeah they never teach you the stuff you really need." Leo said. "Only the stuff they want you to know."

Steerpike nodded, looking Leo over consideringly. "That's very true. One must figure out how to read between the lines, as it were."
