Poseidon's Castle, The Park, Early Sunday evening
Poseidon was pleased with the way his rule in Fandom was going. People seemed excited to get out and enjoy the water, there were a few incidents of violence against his minions but that could be solved with some minor earthquakes, but overall things were looking good.
Sure, they still had to pay for the murder of his fish, but that would come in time. First he wanted to find that groundhog....

| Oh, this was wonderful. Moist balanced the package carefully on the raft in front of him. Flooded town, no golem, and he was delivering a package to a god. Muttering about angels, and messengers, and why this was a bad idea, he paddled closer to the castle |
|
| A merman saw Moist's approach and swam up to him. "Can I help you?" he asked. | |
| More fish things. Marvellous. "I hope so," he replied, smiling and attempting to look harmless as he stood as straight as he could on a wobbly raft. "I've got a special delivery for Poseidon, addressed to the Castle in the Park. It looks important," he added. | |
| The merman looked at the package, then up at Moist. "Okay. Go up to the door. It'll open before you knock. The king is a god, he knows when people are going to knock." | |
| "Of course he does," he said brightly, hiding his disappointment. He'd been hoping he could hand it off to a lackey. Reminding himself that gods were as susceptible as people to a bit of flattery, he paddled up to the castle and through the - as promised - self opening door. "Hello?" |
|
| "Hello," Poseidon said from his throne. "You are my delivery person?" He saw the package and put two and two together. |
|
| "Moist von Lipwig, at your service your --" Majesty? Deity? "-- Royalness," he called, sweeping into a low bow. Maybe for once his ridiculous name would be useful. "I'm your Postmaster. This package arrived for you this morning, special delivery." | |
| "Moist," Poseidon laughed. He lifted the box from the raft and inspected it. "Do you know what the package is?" | |
| "Probably an offering to your Royalness," he ventured. "I didn't open it, since it was addressed to you." Moist began paddling very carefully backwards. If it was something bad, he'd like some distance between him and Poseidon. He had no desire to end up as a pair of lightly smoking shoes, and gods rarely remembered not to shoot the messenger. |
|
| As Moist retreated, Poseidon opened the package. He didn't thank Moist, of course, because gods don't thank people. He opened the box and saw something that quite surprised him. |

It was a My Little Pony rocking horse. |
| After several moments of pondering, Poseidon swam out of his castle. "People of Fandom! I accept your tribute of a horse idol wearing skis!" He didn't know what a rocking horse was. "It confuses me, but I appreciate the sentiment. Your gift signifies that you have made peace with your sea-based brothers, therefore your punishment can cease! By tomorrow morning, the sea shall drain from your land and you'll be able to resume your surface-dwelling ways! But wrong one of my creatures and I will return! Have a good night." With that, Poseidon swam back into his castle, which sank into the ground at the bottom of the pond, leaving an earthen drain in its place. The next little demigod he fathered was totally going to get the rocking horse as a gift. |
