Photo Hut, Monday 3/12

The store was an absolute mess. Most of the stock was destroyed from being submerged, though the waterproof disposables were still okay.

His 1978 Calendar was gone. He wasn't sure what day it was now. But worst of all, the Mermaid chick had left along with the water. She'd left him a conch shell and a polaroid of the two of them.

With a heavy heart, Leo began cleaning up.

Photo Hut is open.

"Hi, Leo!" Annette said, walking in with her rainboots pulled up to her knees.

"Hey man." Leo said, laying his calendar on the counter. It might be salvageable but I think it's time Leo found out that he's currently in 2007 "How'd the flood go?"

She shrugged a shoulder, "As well as floods can go I guess. I got smacked in the face with a fish. That was kind of icky. How are you doing?" She surveyed his mess with raised brows.

"Need some help?"

"Sure man." he agreed. "The little waterproof cameras sold really well, but everything else is pretty much no good. Except maybe the film in the cannisters, they might have stayed dry. Why'd you get hit with a fish?"

"Aw, I'm sorry Leo. I'll help you as much as I can. Just tell me what to do." She shrugged a shoulder and made a face. "I guess the stupid fishman thought I would leave my room and stuff by throwing a fish at me."

"Well there's stuff that needs drying," he said, looking around. "And, there's still a little bit of water here."

Annette thought, "Well, if you have any sort of broom thing I can try and sweep most of the water out the door?"

"Hey that's a great idea man!" Leo exclaimed and splished into the back, emerging with two brooms.

She smiled wide at him, "Thanks, Leo." She took a broom and started from the back of the store and slowly tried to make her way forward, pushing and sweeping the water along with her.

"I came in to see if you had any dry polaroid film? And I meant to ask you, what did you do during the flood?"

"Oh it was great man." he said. "I had a raft, and this groovy merchick helped out with the store."

He looked for anything that looked like it was dry poloroid film.

"Oh really? That is way cool. You know I talked to a mergirl too. She had long pretty blue hair."

"Agea had green hair." Leo said. "I taught her how to play battleship."

"Her name was Agea?" Annette was surprised. "You did?" She might have even stepped a little closer to Leo. "How did that go?"

"It was great man." he said. "She was really good too."

"She was? Well, that is really cool, Leo. What else did you two do?"

We totally made out "She charged folks five clamshells to get their picture taken with me."

Hi-five! Leo! Whoohoo! "Wow, a merchick who knows about business. I like that." Annette said with a chuckle. "So, you miss her around here?"

"Yeah." he sighed. Some romances were never meant to last. "She was a real groovy chick."

"That's really cool." She said, continuing to sweep the water out.

"I think there might be some poloroid film in back." he said. "You get any good pictures?"

She smiled at that and gave him a look, "I've got a lot of great pictures, Leo. Maybe I'll bring them next time so you can see them."

"That'd be great man!" he said. "Lookin' at photos in a photo hut." he giggled.

Annette giggled too and added, "Nothing better, Leo! Hey, you know what this place needs? One of those photo booths. Where you or two people get in and it like takes your picture? Know what I am talking about?"

Leo's eyes lit up. "Woah! Great idea man! Your like one of those idea people aren't you man."

She beamed at him. "I don't know, man, but I like the thought of being one!"
