Hikaru couldn't stop pacing...and tapping...and pacing some more. How could he not be concerned?! Kaoru was in New York City, WITHOUT HIM!! It was nearly driving him up the wall! He'd hardly even given him enough notice, either! He could have snuck along or SOMETHING; something more than just sitting here at work, all day, by himself. UGH

Since she was in town this Saturday, Setsuna decided to stop by and see who might be in at Sparky's today. If her memory served her well (and it usually did), it would be the twins.

Imagine her surprise when she came in to find just one of them. Her head tilted; she leaned toward the door to the back room. "Is...the other one work ing on something back there?" she guessed.

Hikaru shot her a bit of a peeved look. The other one. "No, Kaoru is off in New York for the weekend." He tapped on the counter in annoyance, his pacing stopped for the time being.

Well, that answered her question. Sometimes, it was harder to tell which was which when the other wasn't around for comparrison. "New York?" Setsuna asked. "Whatever for?"

"Some stupid field trip..." Hikaru was quite good at being bitter.

"Oh. For class? How long will he be gone?"

"'Till Sunday..." An appropriately annoyed scowl lingered on his lips, becoming increasingly irritated as he was being reminded of Kaoru's absence.

Setsuna did well at trying to keep the sardonic smirk off her face, but the small roll of her eyes was unavoidable. "That's not too much longer," she offered, in a faint attempt at reassurance.
