The pair appeared in a small clearing in the middle of the woods.

Deadpool took the few seconds after they materialized to pull a gun, pointing it at Cable.

"Now, you see, we're divorced so that means that you aren't allowed to show up 'round here no more. I should have changed that stupid lock, maybe made you leave your key."

"Okay Wade," Nate said, pulling a pistol and levelling it. "We really going to do this? Or are you going to talk?"

"I'd like to think so, yes." Deadpool said, strangely waiting for Nate's TK to come back online.

Nate shook his head.

And then used his infonet link to try and jam Wade's head with an episode of Maude.

Wade winced and bowed his head, gun shaking a little as he held it on Cable.

"Now that's just not nice, Nate."

"I thought you liked her," Nate chided. "Thought it might be a favor."

"Very nice of you, I would prefered a better divorce settlement, you know, visits with the kids, the summer home, not getting screwed out of all the jobs back home," He punctuated the last part by shooting Nate in the face.

The force field caught the bullet, but Nate knew this normally meant Wade would try getting behind him, now.

"You know how much he meant... means to me," Nate growled. "You did this, I know it."

And he returned fire.

Deadpool started shooting back, weaving back and forth and ducking down as he ran at Nate to knock him down.

"Look, if you're having boyfriend troubles, it's not my fault."

Nate dropped his gun and squatted down into a three-point stance. "Dammit," he growled. "Now I know you didn't do it."

"Do what?!" Wade snapped, stopping before he reached Nate, gun fixed level with his head.

"Just what am I supposed to have done to ruin your perfect little world saving life now?"

"Someone shot Steve," Nate said. "I thought you did, but you'd have bragged about it already."

"Someone shot Captain America?" Wade asked, sounding honestly confused. He really needed to keep up with the happenings in the MarvelU. "That's like killing Superma--oh wait..."

He fired a shot at Nate's head for good measure.

After the field stopped the bullet, Nate shook his head.

And then changed the field into a big fist and went to crush it down on Wade.

The sound of gunfire was enough to draw the troops out of their current lull and they headed off towards the sound quickly.

Upon coming on the scene, they raised their guns and said, "Halt your activities immediately!"

Oh sure, Nate left before the fuzz showed up. Typical.

Deadpool turned to face the troopers, guns ready. He didn't think Tex would be too happy if he killed her minions.

"He went that way," Wade told them, pointing in a random direction.

"We see no one but yourself here, sir," one of the troopers barked at him. "You will come with us. Peacefully."

"Awww, come on! I'm just an innocent bystander out in the woods. At night. With some guns." That sounded too suspicious. "Hunting Snipe?" Much better.

"You seem to be an awful shot, sir," another trooper snapped off. "We see no snipe. We're placing you under arrest, sir. Please don't struggle."

Deadpool frowned.

(Whoa there little minions, let's not say things that can't be unsaid now.)

"I am an excellent shot, Snipe just happen to be a very elusive prey," He snapped back, very much planning to struggle like a angry little fox in a bear trap. That had guns.

"Our orders are to escort you back to the station," a trooper said. "Place your guns on the ground and walk slowly towards us."

"I am practically an American citizen and practice my right to bear arms proudly!" He took the safety off his weapons with a quiet little click. "You'll get my guns when I'm a twitchy little mass on the ground, got it?"

The troopers raised their weapons in quick succession. "Sir, please do not make this difficult."

"Difficult is my middle name," Deadpool replied cheerfully, bending his knees slightly to give himself the power needed to take off in any direction he might need. "Okay, that's a lie, it's Winston, but I think Difficult has a better ring to it, don't you?"

He started to run toward the troopers, guns done and ready to be used as a bludgeoning tool, rather than to shoot them. Tex would never sleep with him if he broke her toys.

Several troopers kept their guns leveled at Deadpool and others holstered their guns to prepare for the oncoming onslaught that was a Deadpool running towards them.

They figured they had the numbers, they could subdue him.

The walk turned into a sprint as he rushed toward the troopers, jumping on the first one he came to and using him like a trampoline to land in the middle of the group. "And this is for those poor walking carpets!" He said, striking out at any troopers nearby him
