The Perk - Monday, brunchtime

Annette settled herself  at a small table near a bright window, waving the waitress away until Ami arrived. She hoped Tori could make it too but wouldn't blame her if she didn't want to come. Especially given the fact that Annette and Dick tried to soak her last night with their waterguns, even though the attempt was futile. Who knew? Hee. Hee. 

Tapping her fingers atop the tabletop, she stared outside and waited patiently.

(ooc: Annette is here to meet with Ami and possibly Tori, but definitely open for all your Perkly needs)

Tori had gotten Annette's message and thought brunch would be a lot of fun. She made her way to the Perk, looking for Annette and Ami as she entered.

Annette looked over just as Tori entered, she stood a little and waved her hand, "Tori!"

Tori smiled when she spotted Annette. "Hey." She greeted her, making her way over to the table.

"I'm so glad you came." She smiled sheepishly and sat back down. "I was afraid you might be hating me this morning."

"Me too." Tori couldn't but laugh a little as she took a seat at the table. "Nothing to hate." She grinned, remembering last night. "I have to admit, you guys really got me. It was fun."

"And I had no idea about your water abilities!" She grinned. "Are you like Katara in that way?"

Tori grinned sheepishly. "Yeah, sorry if I startled you or anything like that, when I used them." She nodded. "Sort of. Her waterbending is influence by the moon, where my water powers aren't."

"Hey, Ami! How are you today? Glad you could come."

"I am fine, thank you and your self?" Ami grinned and took a seat.

"I'm doing really good, thanks." She smiled. "So what has been up with you lately?"

"Mostly catching up on missed work" Ami said "went to Ocean City with Billy yesterday. It was fun." She did not mention the conversation Friday night.

"Oh, Ocean City. What did you guys do? I mean, did you go for any specific reason?"

"There was a boardwalk and a museum of weird stuff. And the ocean was really pretty even if it was cold." Ami smiled at the memory.

"Nice to get away from Fandom for a day, hmm? I wouldn't mind doing sometime soon, even though our New York field trip was just last weekend." She grinned a little sheepishly.

"So things are going good with you and Billy, especially since the...well, you know." She didn't want to mention alien abduction even though she was very much curious.

John popped in for some caffeine and breakfast.

With pretty much no fanfare, a door in the wall nearest the bagel case appears, two girls tumbling out of it.

One of them actually ends up with her face pressed up against the glass.

"...erf."

The other one ended up knocking over a chair and falling to the floor when she tried not to push the first girl into the glass. "Ow."

Door rubs her nose and looks around. "This isn't the common room. Also, what the hell?"

"We're in the Perk," Dawn sat up, but wasn't sure she was ready to stand. "You're asking me? What was that?"

Door shifts to her knees, then stands, brushing dust off them. "That was supposed to be me opening a door to bagels in the Common Room. Not bagels across town."

"You open doors to other places? Like, door doors?" Dawn was starting to get an oogy feeling in the pit of her stomach about this.

"Like..." Door looks left and right, then tentatively -- given what just happened -- reaches over to the bagel case and opens the locked sliding self-service door. "...door doors, yes."

Even Dawn had to admit that was cool, but, "Um, soooooo, hypothetically speaking, if you were to touch someone who, say, for instance, used to be a key between dimensions..."

A squirrel--six feet of squirrel, shh--sat behind a shrub (in his pirate boots) and took notes.

Ami, Tori 'n Annette be plannin' a slumber party. Mmm. Wenches wit' pillows. I be missin' Lee Adama. He could throw a slumber party. John Connor be pickin' up breakfast. He be not buyin' anythin' fer me. He also be tryin' t' sleep wit' a nun, from what the squirrels be tellin' me. Good fer him, but I be stayin' on this side in case he be gettin' smote.

...Dawn 'n Door jes be materializin' or somesuch in the room. That were cool.


He hopped outside at the sound of some type of commotion and missed the rest of Dawn and Door's conversation.
