Fast Eddie's Bowling Alley, Tuesday Evening
When he told Chad that he wanted to start fresh, he really hadn't expected to get flowers. He wasn't sure what he had expected, but the thought was nice.
Teddy looked down as the waited for shoes. Chad's shoes actually. The poor guy at the front desk had to go searching for his size.
"Sorry about your shoes."
[[ooc: for the fake boyfriend, but open for your bowling needs.]]

"I can buy you a new pair if you want," Teddy said. "It's my fault they got ruined."

"I'll keep that in mind."

Which Chad figured was close enough, although he really thought maybe this guy was just being unobservant because he could have sworn they had a pair his size the last time he was here, with Ranma.
When he realized that he was about to make a joke and suggest that maybe they won't notice if he just took these, the thought struck him on why they didn't have it any more. Huh.

"I haven't bowled in ages," He told Chad. "So take it easy on me."

(you drama queen)off and putting on the lane shoes. "Trouble with throwing the ball too?" He asked, lacing up.no subject

He grabbed a green one.
"Bets on who loses worse?"
no subject
"What're we gonna bet?"
no subject
"Loser buys the winner drinks at Caritas for the next date?"
no subject
But drinks at Caritas were cool, too. Since he wanted to be the one to buy them, he said, "Kay. My bet's on you getting the worst score, then."

"After you," Teddy replied, not wanting to screw up first.

Something must have gotten messed up in the form, though, because the ball went in the air about a quarter of the way down the lane, thumping heavily onto the lane and lazily rolling down it to slip into the gutter about an inch away from the corner pin.

Sitting back, he waited for Chad to take his next shot at it. "Maybe more rolly and less throwy?"
no subject
The look he gave Teddy as he came back to sit down was definately one of 'okay, let's see you do better.'

He stood a few feet back and sighed, walking forward and gently, very gently letting the ball go.
It stopped halfway down the lane.
"Um..."
no subject
This was going to be the best game of bowling ever.
"What now?"
no subject
"We could trying rolling another one down to hit it," Teddy suggested.
That, of course, would mean one of them had to be able to aim for it correctly.

not dirty.Which worked great to nudge Teddy's ball into enough motion to roll lazily down the lane.
But now Chad's ball was stuck.
"Dios. We suck at this game."
He didn't remember this much trouble last time. But last time did have cute Asian girls involved. Maybe that made a difference? But he sure as hell wasn't going to speculate on that outloud.
