Fandom Post Office: Wednesday 3/28

Annette was standing behind the counter, going over the new sheets of Easter stamps that had just come in. So cute, with little fluffy bunnies and ducks, and spring flowers of all colors. Not to mention the dozen or so different colored eggs. She was stacking these, putting them in some sort of order when she heard a commotion in the back.

"Gladys? Is that you?" She went to investigate.

Good thing she set out one of those little tap bells on the counter. She even stuck a note there that said, "Ring me!"

Dick rang the bell over and over again. He liked to be annoying.

Annette walked out, hands on hips, ready to tell someone the bell wasn't a toy and she could hear it once, and once was enough thankyouverymuch.

But Dick was standing there and she faultered just slightly before she thought to tease him.

"Young man, that most certainly is not a toy."

She snatched the bell and set it on the opposite side of the counter. "You are not having fun. You are being pesky."

"But being pesky is fun." he said, pouting. "You took my toy away."

"It's my toy, not yours. And you can't play with it here. Because it's my toy. You have to find a new toy. And you can't bring it in here. My working place of business."

She grinned a little, "Been busy lately?"

"If by 'busy' you mean texting my brother every half hour asking him what he got me for my birthday then yes, I've been keeping very busy." said Dick.

"Nah, I don't think so." he said. "I spent sixteen birthdays in Neptune, it'd be cool to try something new."

"...which would be? And what do you want for your birthday anyhow?" Annette was not her normal flirty self today so she didn't really do a whole lot of smiling and stuff.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

"Hi, may I help you?" Annette asked, smiling.

"Ah, yes. I was waiting on a package and also wanted to make a change of address."

"Oh, I can help you with that." She turned slightly and reached for a change of address form and slid it across the counter to him, handing him a pen as well. "I can check on that package for you while you fill this out. What is the name, please?"

"Stanley Keyworth, please." He takes the pen and starts filling out the forms.

"I'll be just a moment, Mr. Keyworth." Annette heads to the back while he fills out his card.

( what sort of package is she looking for? Big, small? Oddly shaped, full of pies? )

Finished with the card, he slides it back across the counter, along with the pen, waiting for his smallish package zomg not dirty full of pies of Air Freight snakes of medical supplies.

Annette walks back out carrying a small package zomg! full of ladies undergarments! and hands it over to Mr. Keyworth. "If you could just sign the pink slip on top, then you're good to go."

Stanley signs the pink slip and accepts his box of medicinal thongs and bras weeeeeeed, man supplies with a smile.

"Thanks for checking out my package."
