The Perk, around lunch

After Spy Tech, Parker studied for a while, then got hungry and headed into town. She was considering what to do the upcoming weekend-- maybe that road trip she kept threatening Jack with, if he was feeling better? Or something just with Weiss?

She sat down in a booth with a club sandwich, and considered her weekend options.

[open! waiting on one person, but open for any and all]

A while after Spy Tech, D'anna was feeling restless and struck out on a walk to clear her mind.

She knew that there was a danger of running into someone she didn't really want to see at the Perk, but it was about lunch time and she was hungry so in she went.

Having placed an order for coffee and a sandwich, D scanned the crowd of her fellow Perk patrons and saw a friendly face.

She smiled and waved hello to Parker as the barista slid her tray to her.

"My pleasure." D grinned and took the offered seat. "How's it going?"

"With me? Interesting." D took a bite of her sandwich. "Classes aren't bad. Speaking of, how did wearing my face turn out?"

"I'm not sure if I should be sorry or glad." D raised an eyebrow. "Is Baltimore a person, place or thing?"

D laughed, "I wasn't worried about your judgment, Parker, or what you did or didn't intend to do. The point was to help out a friend."

"Welcome." D picked up her coffee mug. "Any more projects on the horizon?"

D nodded along until that last part at which point a rather noticeable blush began to rise up to her cheeks and she half grinned. "Not much."

Irulan found the name very quaint, The Perk. She didn't feel any pressing need to drink coffee but she's been cooped up in the school and Jack's words came back to her, she is no longer at home. She can go anywhere she pleased and right now, she was pleased to go to the Perk.

"Hello, Parker," Irulan said, feeling very pleased to see her, "I am very well, thank you for asking."

[identity profile] irulan-atreides.livejournal.com 2007-03-29 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
Irulan did, curious about this thing called 'mocha' and sprinkled a generous amount of Spice on it.

"What have you decided to do?" Irulan asked, wondering what sort of things Parker considered fun.

[identity profile] irulan-atreides.livejournal.com 2007-03-29 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
"That sounds very lovely, I feel like I should be venturing out more, especially since I am in a 'new' world." She stirred her drink, the smell of cinnamon, mixing with the coffee. "Yes, yes this is Spice. Our greatest gift and downfall."

[identity profile] irulan-atreides.livejournal.com 2007-03-29 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
"It's..." Irulan shifted, "It is addictive, you see. Our whole society is addicted to it, another reason we can't live without Spice is because, now we literally cannot live without it. We would die of spice agony if we are deprived of it."

[identity profile] irulan-atreides.livejournal.com 2007-03-29 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
"I have enough for a few months," Irulan said, touched by her concern, "Although I do have to send for more Spice, just in case. You can see now how terrible a crutch Spice is for us."
