The Park, Late Wednesday Evening

Edward stomped through the park, fully intending on destroying anything that wasn't wrought out of iron. He hopped a low fence and started to attack some budding pansies. He grumbled as he kicked at the flowers. If only the place wasn't so deserted. Then he'd have something more satisfying to wreck. Something like a face.

[ooc: Edward Hyde is back! And he isn't exactly skipping along and singing. If you're in the mood for a fight or a snit, (or at least an interesting reaction when provoked) look no further.]

Matilda was walking around the island. Why so late? That would be because she had missed it. And was going to miss it a lot soon. She saw Edward stomping around and paid him no real mind. She sat down on a bench and sighed heavily.

Matilda was never without a book, and she pulled a thin copy of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe from her pocket.

((I'm not allowed in said Muffin Shop. Haha.))

Matilda read. It was very exciting. In fact. She might have turn a page or two.

Matilda, not exactly in a good mood to start with, put on some snark, "It's about an asshole taking things without asking."

"Maybe it would be a bit easier to browse if you weren't holding it upsidedown."

This is an indignent face. Well it's not like she never got bullied back in her old high school. She's just really not in the mood for her usual "civil disobedience." He'd find that shoe pulled from his grip by an invisible force. And then the shoe's bottom was rubbing across his face. "Actually, it's usually hard to read with mud your eyes."

[identity profile] bookwormwood.livejournal.com 2007-03-29 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
Matilda showed no indication of interacting with the shoe. But she did smile a bit, "Maybe you just misread."

Matilda would have flinched. But she knew that was what he wanted. He wanted to make her upset. Well Matilda had long ago tired of anyone controlling her feelings. She shrugged, "You ought to keep it. Someone of your intelligence is likely to benefit from a book or two. Plus, it's about as filthy as you are at this point. I don't want to touch it."

She'd get a new one. No big deal. She could rewrite her anoitations. All of them. Under her breath she actually swore at him and he would feel something pulling his ankles backwards out from under him, causing him to fall forward. "Clutz." She said with a smile the dripped heavily with distain.

The pages and cover stopped in the air before hitting her. The stopped dead for a moment then shot right back at Edward.

To say she expected this was certainly a lie, but she was on her toes. He didn't reach her, because he was soon running on air a few inches of the ground. He made no progress no matter how he ran or struggled. He'd make no movement forward or backwards. "Fighting will get you expelled, friend."

She says friend with a tone that told him what word she really meant to have there. "And I'd prefer to spare you that fate. You need all the schooling you can get."

She nods. She'd say it was out of pure need, because look who picked on her? But no. She was quickly able to let go of her anger. Edward would feel his feet touch solid ground as she said, "Let it be a lesson in taking care when you pick a fight with someone on this island."

"It's self defense I'm sure." She takes the book from him, and gives the first genuine smile of this conversation, "Stay out of trouble."

She turned to go. Not much left to do outside now that her book took such battle damage.

A hit like that one sent the little girl sprawling onto her stomach into the bushes. She didn't appear to move, she did cry out for a moment though, before she hit the ground that is.
deadly_little: (disdainful Miho)

Miho glared at Edward. What did the flowers ever do to him? That was just rude.

Miho glared pointedly at the flower, then arched one eyebrow at Edward.
deadly_little: (there will be blood)

Actually, she just disdained waste. And, yes, the flowers were pretty. Miho liked pretty things.
