The Park - Thursday Late Morning

Since Aziraphale had a meeting in town that morning, Wilson had decided to get in a little bench time in the park. He'd noticed that the water fowl were once again on the move and figured that a half loaf of stale French bread might be just the ticket to get him some new feathery friends.

So, after filling a travel mug with some coffee, Wilson tucked a legal pad under his arm and headed down to the Park to hang out on a bench, feed the ducks and work on editing his latest article. It was a nice day to be out and about after all.

[ooc: Open! Feel free to use for your own parkish needs or poke Wilson.]

Henry walked through the park, dressed in modern clothing and wheeling a small wagon filled with potted pansies. He arrived at a certain patch of ruined flowers (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/1550147.html) and began to remove the squashed plants, substituting the newer ones.

If Henry had been on a committee, he would have been much better. Hopefully. He was doing a fine enough job transplanting the flowers, but he was getting covered in dirt along the way. Surgery, this was not.

Henry almost just shook his head, but when he realized that it was an adult asking the question, he stood up, faced Wilson, and answered with a smile. "No, thank you, sir. It's quite within my capabilities."

In this process he might uncover from some bushes, a Matilda, face down in the mud.

When Henry got up to admire his handiwork on the flowers, he caught a glimpse of last night's handiwork.
"Oh my God."
His face fell. He hadn't thought in a million years that the girl would still be there. He quickly rolled her on her side (minding the head injury), and checked her pulse. She was alive, and breathing just fine.

Matilda quickly pulled away from the touch, but she really didn't get far... that sure did make her head spin, "Oww.."

Awake?! That was a good thing, medically. Henry was just a little scared. She'd never recognise him, not in a hundred years, but Henry was very paranoid.
"Are you all right?" He asked. And for appearances' sake, he added, "What happened to you?"
The words might have been fake, but the concern wasn't.

Though she was usually someone who was quite good with words, she merely groaned.

Henry tried to help Matilda to her feet. "We ought to get you to the clinic."

"No no. I've got a class to get to. I've got to shower before I go." She didn't take his hands, or take any help that he offered when she tried to stand up. She had to shut her eyes to stop her head from reeling but otherwise she stood steady.

"I admire your resolve, but you seem to have spent some time passed out outside. Medical attention would be a very sapient choice at the moment."
Deep down, Henry wondered what to do. For appearances' sake, he had to accept whatever this girl chose to do; after all, as an outside observer, he wasn't supposed to know what happened. But Henry did know. There was a good chance she had a concussion. How on earth could he stand by and just let her avoid a doctor?

"I'm sorry. I want to help myself."

It really was a nice day to be out and about. Kabuto was enjoying the day, unable to keep the smirk off his face after the events of the night before. He watched the guy with the ducks for a while, wishing briefly for his kunai so he could do some target practice. But he kept himself under control, walking over to the stranger.

"Interesting passtime," he commented.

"Most organisms are fond of things they benefit from," Kabuto replied noncomittally. "Even the ones with miniscule brains."

He meant the ducks. Really.
