Sunglasses? Check. Casual clothes, because she was so not even going think the word 'nun' this weekend? Check. Suitcase packed with more clothes than would ever, ever be needed for a short weekend trip? Naturally.

And, most importantly, very awesome amazing modern vehicle that she could so totally drive, shut up, she'd gotten it to the causeway without any problems, hadn't she? Hadn't she?

...Check!

Now she just needed a funny eared companion. Rosette spread out some roadmap on the hood of the car and looked over them again as she waited for John.

John showed up, small duffel in his hands, wearing a breezy light button-up shirt that could so double as a club shirt thank you very much, sandals, and cargo shorts, totally looking like a tourist instead of a finely honed emo killing machine.

"Hey!" Rosette looked over her shoulder at him with a grin before turning it to the car, nodding her head toward it a bit. "Ain't she a beaut?" She was itching to drive that thing some more.... "I'm working on trying to plan out our route. Come put in your two cents. Which I'll promptly ignore."

John looked over the map and her route. "Um. Might want to take the long way around DC. Weekend traffic'll be a bear."

Rosette's head tilted a little and let out a small, thoughtful hum. "So...maybe....this way...ish? See when we get there? Make an adventure out of it?"

"Yes. Fun adventure. Should probably stick off the main highways until we get away from the cities, unless you like braking constantly. Plus? Scenic, instead of the bumper of the car in front."

"That could be a lot of fun."

"Scenic route it is! So. Who's driving?" He grinned wickedly.

"Well, that's a stupid question! I am, of course!"

"Should I be worried?" he teased. He looked at his duffel...and at Rosette's luggage, and raised an eyebrow.

"Of course not!" Rosette said, punching him lightly in the arm. "I'm a great driver. Why else do you think they always sent me out on the field missions that needed the car, huh?"

Chrono and about the entirety of the Magdalene Order of 1926 would tell John an entirely different story. Thankfully, they weren't here now, were they?

"Probably because they could use the respite?" he teased, tossing his duffel in the back of the convertible. "So you'll keep 'er sunny side up? And no getting arrested?"

Rosette nodded firmly. "Definately no getting arrested, because all my paperwork is old and that would be bad." And it would be a terrible way to ruin Deadpool's help of procuring the car of them. Unless they were to stage and elaborate and explosive escape from jain, which which case he might be proud of her, but she didn't want to risk it. "No getting arrested."

"Right. My license is two or three years out of date. And under a different name. And I'm not sure if a pre-Prohibition ID will hold up in modern courts."

"Eee," Rosette made a face. "No getting arressted." Her eyes passed over the map one more time before letting out a breath, slapping her hands down at her sides, and then taking a moment to revel in the fact that she was wearing jeans.

"You look so different in jeans." He tilted his head. "I kinda like it." Smile.
