The Park: Saturday: Midday [3-31-07]

Isobel stopped by the pond to set out the items she had mostly handwavily gathered.  She seemed to have almost everything she needed - except the hair from virgins. She'd just have to increase her efforts, that's all.  She'd make sure she had enough to complete the spell tomorrow.  One way or another.

Cassie was wandering about the park, since the weather was nice. And somehow, it wasn't making her emo.

Which is always a good thing.

Isobel glanced up and smiled. Another prospect, delivered right to her as it were. She waved and did her best to look welcoming.

Cassie waved back and headed over. "I... Lana, right?" she said.

Well, Lana wasn't the worst name in the world, Isobel supposed. She smiled. "Yes. Cassie, right? Want to join me for a minute?"

"Sure," Cassie said. "Didn't really have a whole lot of plans."

Isobel made room for her on the bench. "Come sit. Enjoy the water."

Cassie sat down, and actually managed a smile. "How're you?"

"I'm quite good," Isobel said easily. She reached out towards Cassie's hair. "You have such nice hair," she said and 'accidentally' caught a strand and gave it a tug.

"Oh no! I'm so sorry!" she exclaimed.

"Ow," Cassie said, making a bit of a face. "It's okay."

Isobel looked at the hair and smiled. Virgin. One closer to her goal. "Even more beautiful than I thought."

"I do try to take good care of it," Cassie said. "S'one of the few things I get right, apparently."

"Mmmhmmm..." Isobel said absently. She'd gotten what she needed and didn't have any more use for the girl.

"So... just hanging out in the park?" she asked.

"Gathering things for a... project," Isobel replied, tucking the hair away discreetly with her other ingredients.

"Like, rocks and leaves and twigs?" Cassie asked.

Tori was out for a run in the park, enjoying the day as best she could. Really, who could pass up a day like this?

"Something like that," Isobel said rolling her eyes.

Cassie smiled. "Always fun," she said, swinging her legs a bit.

Isobel waved to her. Another good prospect. "Tori, hey!"

"Hey Lana!" Tori smiled and waved back, making her way over to where Lana was sitting. "How are you?"

Isobel rolled her eyes again. "Yes, certainly I can see how grubbing around in the dirt would be most exciting."

She waved a hand at her off-handedly. "Ave," she commanded.

"Oh look," Isobel said, stretching a hand out. "You have a piece of something stuck in your hair." She pulled a strand of hair from Tori's head. "Oops, sorry about that, but at least I got the twig out."

She looked thoughtfully at the hair again and smiled. Another virgin. This might be easier than she had thought!

And Cassie felt a strange compulsion to go away. Which she did.

Tori wined slightly, when the strand was pulled out. "Oh, thanks. Yeah."

She smiled, "I see you're out enjoying the day as well."

Evie settled in next to the duck pond with a book-- well, with three. One for each class, independent reading.

She was in the middle of a new version of Rapunzel at the moment.
