The Park: Saturday: Midday [3-31-07]

Isobel stopped by the pond to set out the items she had mostly handwavily gathered.  She seemed to have almost everything she needed - except the hair from virgins. She'd just have to increase her efforts, that's all.  She'd make sure she had enough to complete the spell tomorrow.  One way or another.

Cassie was wandering about the park, since the weather was nice. And somehow, it wasn't making her emo.

Isobel glanced up and smiled. Another prospect, delivered right to her as it were. She waved and did her best to look welcoming.

Cassie waved back and headed over. "I... Lana, right?" she said.

Well, Lana wasn't the worst name in the world, Isobel supposed. She smiled. "Yes. Cassie, right? Want to join me for a minute?"

"Sure," Cassie said. "Didn't really have a whole lot of plans."

Tori was out for a run in the park, enjoying the day as best she could. Really, who could pass up a day like this?

Isobel waved to her. Another good prospect. "Tori, hey!"

"Hey Lana!" Tori smiled and waved back, making her way over to where Lana was sitting. "How are you?"

"Oh look," Isobel said, stretching a hand out. "You have a piece of something stuck in your hair." She pulled a strand of hair from Tori's head. "Oops, sorry about that, but at least I got the twig out."

She looked thoughtfully at the hair again and smiled. Another virgin. This might be easier than she had thought!

Tori wined slightly, when the strand was pulled out. "Oh, thanks. Yeah."

She smiled, "I see you're out enjoying the day as well."

Evie settled in next to the duck pond with a book-- well, with three. One for each class, independent reading.

She was in the middle of a new version of Rapunzel at the moment.

Isobel ever so casually wandered by. "Evie, how are you? I don't think I've spoken to you in ages." She leaned over her shoulder trying to casually snag a piece of Evie's hair against the bench she was sitting on.

"Lana! Hello, I'm fine. It's nice to see you again." Evie brushed her hair out of her face, the breeze blowing it around her haphazardly. "What have you been doing lately?"

"Oh, this and that. And of course, ever so happy with Jim. You definitely missed out there," Isobel said with a bit of a smirk.

Evie blinked, non-plussed and a little hurt at Lana's smugness, then rallied and said, "Well, I'm glad you're happy together. I'm sort of seeing someone now myself. Have you met Sokka?" She blushed a little pinkly, and opened up one of her books. "He's a warrior. From the water tribe!"

Naomi was feeling restless and decided to go for a walk in the park.

Isobel waved to her. "Naomi, hello!"

"Come sit for a moment?" Isobel offered.

"Sure," Naomi said and went to sit down next to her.

Rikku stopped by the pond to check out the ducks. Ducks? Very cool. Always a good time. She'd nabbed some bread and was doing her best to get them to take it.

Isobel made her way over to Rikku. "Hey, nice day, isn't it?"

Rikku grinned and waved. "You bet! Check it out, ducks!"

She tossed a few crumbs. "It's so nice that it's warming up again, you know?"

"Oh yes, definitely," Isobel said, then leaned in a little as if just noticing something odd. "You've got... do you mind...?' She reached in and deftly pulled out a piece of Rikku's hair. "Sorry. There was just something in your hair and I thought..."

She ducked her head, trying to look embarrassed. "Sorry, it really wasn't anything. I didn't mean to..." Inside she was beaming though at yet another hair from a virgin.

"Oh! It's totally okay." Rikku shook her head. "There's stuff in my hair all the time. It's such a mess." She tucked her hair back behind her ears again. "It might have just been the feathers or something. Thanks anyway."

She held out the bread. "Did you want some? I mean, to throw to the ducks. It's stale."
