Rosette didn't put up a new sign for today; she was much too busy complaining to Chrono about one of the saints she came across in her big book of saints, much to his dismay. Because she would not shut up about this guy. "Eighteen!" Rosette ranted. "Eighteen years old, forsaw his own death, and what does he do? Goes into lame little religious spells where he's just staring off into space and the whole world thinks that's the divine hand of something? That's bull. He should have been doing something in that time, not just sitting on his butt and doing devotions. If I were this kid's brother, I'd have beat him up, too. All the time. You know I would, because I'd do that to Joshua when he whined too much, but then I'd actually hurt him and had to stop, but that's not the point! Furthmore..."

Chrono lightly beat his head repeatedly on the back of a pew; maybe if he did it hard enough, his brain would start hurting and the pain would drown out the sound of her voice...

John popped in, having wandered in from around the park.

Rosette was still jawing on and on and on, but then stopped abruptly when she spotted John coming into the church. Chrono's eyes got really wide. It...stopped. It had actually stopped. Rosette had shut up for more than two seconds....

He could hug John right now if it weren't for the fact that he was John.

Rosette smiled and waved. "Hey you."

"Heya! Torturing Chrono again?" he smiled.

"No," Rosette chuckled a little. "We were just having a nice discussion, is all." Chrono idly wondered to himself when discussions became so one-sided. "Nothing important, though."

John looks over at Chrono and laughs a bit. "So are you busy this evening? They're showing movies in the park."

"Oh, they are?" Rosette sort of perked up a little at that. "Like they did in the fall?"

"Yeah! You interested?"

"I dunno," Rosette said, perhaps a mite coyly because she was interested. Those movies were a lot of fun, but.... "Tonight's ANTM, and I always made sandwiches and stuff for those, and I haven't had any time to do that, so it wouldn't really be the saaaaame...."

"Tape ANTM? Watch it after? Sandwiches optional?"

"Tape? And I think I might have time to throw something together. Have to have a picnic with movies in the park. It's, like, law, or something."

"Record it to watch later? Got a VCR at Sparky's. Where we watch movies. That thing? Yeah." He grinned like a dork."

"OH! Right!" Rosette blushed a little, feeling like an idiot, but, hey, this was technological concepts well beyond what she was familiar with. They didn't even have televisions for another thirty odd years... "I...forgot it could do things like that. Yeah! That should work."
