Book Haven: Monday 2-5PM [4-16-07]
Lana carried Maggie into the bookstore. They'd stopped for a quick grilled cheese then hurried along to Lana's work. Lana sat Maggie down with a book in one of the big comfy chairs while she made sure there was fresh tea and biscuits for the customers.
She also noticed the sign in the window:
Sale! All Children's Books Half Off!
Once everything was set, Lana went back to Maggie and scooped her up in her lap and began reading to her.

A very hyper blonde girl dragged a much-less-hyper-and-more-tired-than-usual blonde teenager into the store, and began pointing excitedly at the shelves.
"Oh!" Bayla bounced to a stop, noticing Maggie on Lana's lap. "Sorry! I'll be quiet, like in the library!"
Bayla made a big show of turning around to shush Rikku.

"Right, right, quiet like a library, sorry, Bayla." She rolled her eyes, lowering her voice.

And then stood up again. "That's Bayla. If I have enormous clumps of hair missing at practice on Wednesday, she's why."

Tori smiled and chuckled. "Hi Bayla. Okay, understandable."

"Aiden looks like a cutie. Who's, uh ..." She trailed off, blushing a little, not sure if it was tactless to ask 'So, who's the dad?'

"I didn't run, I sneaked." Tommy said, grinning. "Uncle Storm Shadow says I should practice."

"No running!" Maggie echoed. "You hafta be good 'cause my daddy's a pleeceman and he can put you in jail!"
Lana looked at her a little strangely, but smiled. "I don't think we have to worry about that," she said, "But please do be careful."

Ana meanwhile facepalmed. "Sorry Miss Lana." she said.

Lana smiled at Ana. "It's okay, hon."
