Our Lady of Fandom; Wednesday [04/18 ]
Everything in the church had been cleaned twice over, the banners were dusted, Saint Joe's eyepatch was straightened, and all the booze had been hidden (and the still room locked). Rosette was even wearing the habit without the slits and without the armor corset that suddenly appeared in book three. Chrono's shoes were shined.
But there was no Remington. Not yet. Rosette, finding trying to seem all proper absolutely exhausting, dropped into a pew with a groan. "Geeeeez, what's taking him so long?" she whined. "It isn't like he's got that far to go, only eighty years!" She thunked her head on the back of the pew; Chrono gave it soft, comforting pats.

Remington was looking forward to see how Rosette and Chrono were doing, as well as the state of the church she was running on her own. Once he arrived, he walked in and down the walkway slowly, looking around to observe the church. Then, he paused halfway there, staring down where he spotted the duo at the pew with a large grin on his face.
"Sister Rosette," Remington began, greeting her in a formal voice. "It's good to see you again."

crappy British accentvoice, Rosette jumped a little. "Oh! F..Father Remington, hi!" She very ungracefully managed to get herself out of the pew, beaming like an idiot, face already flushed and her heart practically jumping up into her throat. "You made it! Great! Long trip, huh? Should I get you something? Tea? Coffee? To help you relax a little? Have a seat! You must be tired. Eighty whole years and all that, hahaha...."Oh, maaaaan. Rosette, when she stopped for a breath, could only sigh. He was even more handsome than she remembered...! It had been a while...

The whole time, Rosette's eyes may have darted around a little to spot Chrono and make sure he wasn't make expression that might contradict her words, like rolling his eyes or shaking his head or something.

"...So...."
So cuuuuuuuute. Siiiigh. Rosette idly wondered if they had selected Remington to come check up on her or if he'd volunteered because he'd missed her. Had to be the second one. How could he not miss her, right?

Rosette was too busy swooning, which she'd deny, and wondering if Remington missed her being around, too, which just made Chrono shake his head, really rather wishing he didn't have to try to make small talk with Ewan because of Rosette's little crush on him.

She drew in a deep breath. Late for what? They didn't even really know what they were doing with Joshua, not really. Just...
"Azmaria? How is she?" And, trying to lighten the mood again, "Can she carry a tray of tea without tripping over her own feet yet?"
no subject
"Azmaria is as fine as ever," Remington answered with another grin. "She's taken up the choir while you are here, but she's anxious for your return."
