Our Lady of Fandom; Wednesday [04/18 ]

Everything in the church had been cleaned twice over, the banners were dusted, Saint Joe's eyepatch was straightened, and all the booze had been hidden (and the still room locked). Rosette was even wearing the habit without the slits and without the armor corset that suddenly appeared in book three. Chrono's shoes were shined.

But there was no Remington. Not yet. Rosette, finding trying to seem all proper absolutely exhausting, dropped into a pew with a groan. "Geeeeez, what's taking him so long?" she whined. "It isn't like he's got that far to go, only eighty years!" She thunked her head on the back of the pew; Chrono gave it soft, comforting pats.

[[ expecting a very specific visitor (YAY!), but open for all your churchly needs! ]]

Well, hadn't that been one hell of a trip.

Remington was looking forward to see how Rosette and Chrono were doing, as well as the state of the church she was running on her own. Once he arrived, he walked in and down the walkway slowly, looking around to observe the church. Then, he paused halfway there, staring down where he spotted the duo at the pew with a large grin on his face.

"Sister Rosette," Remington began, greeting her in a formal voice. "It's good to see you again."

Remington chuckled, holding up a hand. "Don't worry, Rosette, right now I am fine," he assured. "We'll get to the resting when necessary. For now, I'm here to check up on you."

"Mmmmm." Remington glanced around again, this time paying more attention to detail. "I see. So far it looks as if you've been doing a fine job. Have things been running as smoothly as they look?"

"Is it?" Remington asked, turning his eyes back toward Rosette. "It's not every day we send a member of the Order off on their own. It's important to see how they're doing." He playfully added mentally, Especially someone like you, Rosette. "Everything has been running as normal. Sister Kate has been doing a fine job keeping everything in order."

"She won't admit it, but I'm sure she misses you around," Remington said through a chuckle. "You realize, it's just too quiet now. So," he echoed, facing up towards where Chrono was. "Have you been well, too?"

That, however, didn't seem to bother Remington. "Aside from the church," he said, folding his arms behind his back. "Tell me about this little town. I've only came directly here once I arrived."

Invasion of trolls? This made Remington raise an eyebrow; but, coming from a place where demons occasionally run around causing trouble, he didn't question their existance. "It does seem like a very quaint area," he said. "I take it you've been enjoying your time here?"

He nodded. "That's correct," Remington replied. "I know how badly you want to find your brother, but, as of right now, you need to be a little more prepared." He set a hand on Rosette's shoulder. "Even if this seems pointless, it will be worth it."

"We don't, unfortunately," Remington replied honestly. "Aion and his circle are no ordinary demons that are easy to keep a track of. He does no good, but he's smart, which makes it rather hard for us to stay on his trail."

Remington patted her shoulder before recoiling his hand back behind his back. He knew she didn't, but that was absolutely nothing he was going to lie about. With some luck on their side, Remington knew they-- she, rather-- would manage to get Joshua back. Even if he knew Rosette was far from being the most proper, perfect nun, her determination was enough to make up for that.

"Azmaria is as fine as ever," Remington answered with another grin. "She's taken up the choir while you are here, but she's anxious for your return."

"Not too long," Remington said. "The longest will be until Sunday. I'm sure by then I'll have a good enough report done."
