The Perk - Sunday Morning

Chris was only slightly wary of this whole 'family breakfast' thing. He knew it was a bad plan for Grams and Grandpa to be in the same place. And Mom was bringing Lindsey and would expect him and Wyatt to be nice. And Aunt Phoebe was bringing both of her boyfriends, which he could only imagine Grams and Grandpa would not be pleased about.

Hopefully the Perk would still be standing after this morning... which, given Fandom's track record lately... was probably even odds.

"Oh." Tori totally understood why they'd not want to be here. "I can create a distraction and you guys could make a run for it?" She grinned.

"That might work," Chris said. "This could end up being worse than the aliens attacking yesterday."

"I'll do what I can." Tori suddenly felt a little worried for Chris and Wyatt. "Yikes, that's not good."

"Oh, yeah, congratulations," Chris remembered. "Are you taking off right away or sticking around for a while?"

"Thanks Chris." Tori smiled warmly. "I'm staying for the summer. TAing a workshop and continuing to work at Book Haven. What about you?"

"Working at Book Haven and taking some workshops," Chris replied. "And hopefully getting more control of my powers."
