The Perk - Sunday Morning

Chris was only slightly wary of this whole 'family breakfast' thing. He knew it was a bad plan for Grams and Grandpa to be in the same place. And Mom was bringing Lindsey and would expect him and Wyatt to be nice. And Aunt Phoebe was bringing both of her boyfriends, which he could only imagine Grams and Grandpa would not be pleased about.

Hopefully the Perk would still be standing after this morning... which, given Fandom's track record lately... was probably even odds.

[ooc: Yes, there is going to be a dysfunctional Halliwell family breakfast at the Perk, but it's open for your own Perkly needs. Minor OCD to keep things neat.]

There was that blush again. "I might not have mentioned that part."

"Important how?" Grams demanded, looking from Anders to Phoebe and then over to Bel.

Phoebe kept her arm around Anders, and reached for Cole, too, to pull him to her.

"Grams..."

Yes, how does one tell their very protective grandmother who hates men anyway, that one is involved in an OT3 relationship?

"They are both very special to me, Grams..."

Please don't let her ask for a further explanation. That was probably wishful thinking though.

Grams stared. "What are you trying to tell me, Phoebe?" she said, a little flustered.

This would be where Phoebe really wished that Cole would say something... anything to perhaps distract Grams. However, she had always done her best to try to be completely honest with Grams about personal matter in her life.

She shifted a little bit, making sure she had placed herself between Grams and the guys.

"Grams... plesase don't freak out but I'm kind of... seeing both of them..."

"Phoebe!" Grams said, clutching her hand to her heart. Then she glared at Cole. "And you -- I saw you throwing fireballs at graduation!"

Bel silently eeped and took a step back in case Grams got it in her head to vanquish him. "Umm, I got my powers back?" he said.

Anders tried to get between Bel and Grams, too. "And I'm totally human," he said quickly ~~because he really had no idea which is just as well for everyone's sake~~. "No powers, just a regular guy from another planet."

Phoebe was biting her lip and when she saw GRams clutch a hand to her heart, she felt guilt sweep through her.

"Grams... both of them really care about me..."

She didn't know what to say about the fireballs thing. She had hoped that Grams hadn't noticed that.

"And if you saw him using fireballs... then you saw him using them to protect me."

Grams didn't want to argue with Phoebe about this, not on this weekend of all weekends. "If either of you hurt her," Grams said, fixing Bel and Anders with a sharp look, "you will have to deal with me."

"Yes, ma'am," Bel said obediently, not wanting to mess with the woman most likely to vanquish him.

"Yes, ma'am," echoed Anders, a little surprised he wasn't, you know, dead yet. "I wouldn't hurt her. Just so you know."

Phoebe gave Grams a slight smile. "Grams, they won't. They've both done their best not to ever hurt me."

"It doesn't hurt to tell them what should happen if they do," Grams sniffed.

"I'd give my life for her," Bel said. "And I only use my powers for good -- to protect."

"He would," Anders chimed in. "And he does. He's saved me and a bunch of our friends more times than I can keep track of, and I meant it yesterday when I told you he was a good guy."

A little more shyly, he added, "And I'd go pretty damn far to keep her safe too."

Phoebe smiled at both of them and then looked at her Grams. "Please, Grams... just give them a chance to show you they mean what they're telling you?"

"I'll be keeping an eye on them," Grams grumbled.

Phoebe hugged her Grams tightly. "I know," she said with a nod. "And I love you for that."

"You won't be disappointed, ma'am," Bel said. He still knew how to appease authority figures, after all.

"Yeah, we won't let you down," agreed Anders, still playing Follow the Leader.
