Magic Box, Tuesday

Giles was at his desk in the corner, going through his old journals, along with the copies he had of other Watchers' journals. It had started as idle speculation that had flowed out of his train of thought yesterday, but it was weirdly addictive. So now Giles was going through and rating each apocalypse for originality, weirdness and potential destructive power.

The Magic Box was open.

Buffy wandered into the shop. "Hi Giles!" She waved when she spotted him. "The school blew up! Did you see it? Or. Not see it..."

"I heard," Giles said, closing the journal and turning to face her with a smile. "Were you there?"

"I was there to cheer for my friends," Buffy nodded. She pouted a little. "But I didn't get to fight aliens at all, which was really unfair. Seely and me cheered for the graduates though."

"Seely....?" That was the fellow who looked like Angel, Giles remembered.

"Seely Booth, he's a cheerleader too," Buffy explained. "Have you met him?"

"Briefly, I believe so." Giles considered her. "Are you and he....?"

"Nope." Buffy sat down on his desk, probably messing it up in the process. "We went on a couple of dates, but he slept with Alec, and that's just... Ick."

Good, Giles thought privately. That was a little too close to Buffy and Angel romantic trainwreck that almost destroyed the world (8/10 for sheer over the top teenage drama). "Who's Alec?"

"One of my best friends. He's awesome, but I'm not going to date anyone he's slept with. I mean, that's just weird." She poked at his books. "What are you doing?"

John popped in for a bit around lunch, looking for Giles. Or this Giles, at any rate. "Giles?" he called.
