Book Haven, Tuesday 10AM-5PM

Tori opened up the store ~~after her mun's internet decided to behave~~ and set out the refreshments for the customers. She took a seat behind the counter, wondering if she'd recognize any of the new students that would be arriving Friday.

Anxious for the summer session to start, Tori remembered that she had a beach party to look forwad to. It was turning out to be a great day.

"Hey, Tori!" Annette waved as she walked in, moving towards the counter.

"Hey Annette!" Tori grinned and waved. "What's up?"

"I need to get some books and I'm hoping you can help me." She smiled. "I'm looking for anything on espionage, perhaps the military as well."

"I certainly can." Tori smiled and nodded. "Interesting selection." She winked and moved out from behind the counter, to a shelf nearby. "I think we might have some titles here, there should be a few more in the back if these aren't satisfactory."

"Oh great, thanks." She grinned and sorted through the selection Tori showed her. "I thought to get some summer reading in, you know, broadening my level of...skillful knowledge in certain areas." Yeah. That sounded pretty good. Didn't it?

"You're welcome." Tori chuckled. "Summer reading, always fun." She admitted, with a small smirk. "Increasing knowledge is always a great goal." It did sound pretty good, yep.

Annette nodded, "Yep. I'm a little unsure about the military though. I think I might just need a book on the history of it. Is there anything like that here?" She had already picked out a couple books on espionage. M would be proud. Yep.

"Yeah, we've got that around here somewhere." Tori nodded and browsed the shelves. "Found it, here you go." She handed the book over to Annette.

"Thanks Tori!" Annette said and wandered back to the counter, ready to pay for them. "You like working here?"

"Anytime." Tori grinned and made her way to the counter. "Yeah, it's a lot of fun." She nodded, ringing up the amount to let Annette know how much her total was.

After paying, she smiled and waved, "I'll see ya later Tori! Enjoy the rest of your day, and thanks for all the help!"

John popped in. "Howdy!"

"Hey John." Tori smiled brightly.

"Hi! Couldn't wait, so I closed up early. Don't think Aggie'll notice that I ducked out about 15 minutes ago until next week sometime when she's making up the paychecks," he said, grinning. "Beach party?"

Tori laughed a bit, noting his excitement. "Well, as long as you don't get in trouble for it, then I'm sure it was fine." She grinned. "Beach party, yay! I just need to grab a few things from my room and then I'll be all set."

"Oh, crap. I need to sneak back in and get the grill! Luckily, I know a back way, and I can bribe the 'bots with oil." he chuckled.

"Bribery usually works or so I've heard." Tori chuckled. "Do you need any help? I just need to close up the store."

"Not really. I'll steal a wagon if I have to. You're more than welcome to come with and distract the bots with something shiny, though."

"Something shiny, huh? I'll have to see if I have anything like that." Tori smirked.

"Oh, yeah. I've tried coins, but then they built a bot out of nickles, dimes, and pennies. Sooo adorable. And Soooo hard to keep from cashing it in at the bank."

"Oh wow, really? That sounds great." Tori laughed. "I'll be sure not to use coins then."

"It's kinda interesting. Like a savings account, watching your money grow. And move. And fall off the table and skitter under the chairs and stuff. You should see it."

"I bet it is." Tori admitted, with a smile. She chuckled. "I bet it's quite the sight."

"You wanna see it? Should be around the shop somewheres. Agatha won't mind. She's building something again."

"Sure." Tori nodded, smiling.
