The Beach - Tuesday Afternoon

There were no classes.  And it was a very warm - hot to Katara - sunny afternoon.  So after making a few calls to people, she and Molly packed bags and lunches to head down to the beach.

Katara  was simply gleeful about a new bathing suit and towel.  She spread the towel out happily and flopped on it before looking over at Molly.  "I still say we just skip all our workshops and spend the summer here."

Molly chuckled as she spread out her own towel and sat down. "They wouldn't let us stay if we didn't take workshops," she said. "Besides, workshops are fun. Way easier than classes."

"Which ones did you sign up for?" she asked, lolling in the sun and looking like someone who grew up in southern California instead of on the South Pole.

Jake had spent the day trying to pack. He more than welcomed the break from that particular job, and went to the beach, sketchbook and pencils in hand. "Hey guys!" he greeted everyone and found a nice spot to sit down.

Katara waved. "Hi Jake! How's your day?"

"Hey, Jake!" Molly called.

Krycek had followed Jake down and sat down on the bench as well, relaxing in the warmth of the sun.

Mel showed up in some cut off shorts and one of her tank tops and collapsed on her towel to enjoy the sun.

"Guys, where I'm from I only heard rumors about glorious a day at the beach could be," Mel said with a contented sigh. "This? Is totally A-1 Rocketship."

Katara grinned at Mel. "It is TOTALLY rocketship. We don't do days on the beach too much at home either. I'm a big fan."

Molly waved. "Hi, Mel. If you like this, you need to visit California. Tons of days like this there."

Tori made her way down to the beach, towel, surfboard and hot dog buns in hand. She was both surprised and happy to see Katara and Molly there.

This was definitely a party.

"Tori!" Katara called, waving. "Hi! Congratulations!"

John trailed behind wearing his swim shorts and a t-shirt, a wagon full of grill and accessories, cooler full of hot dogs and hamburgers and some 2 liters and cups, and a dingbot from Sparky's made out of US coins. Who's 'helping'. By being cute (a lot). And burrowing into John's towel.

After getting kicked by Turtle today and doing a little running around, Annette wanted nothing more than to sprawl on her beach towel and enjoy the sun, maybe snooze a little too.

"Hi Annette!" Katara said. "Isn't it a pretty day?"

Tori smiled and waved at Annette, when she spotted her. "Hey Annette, long time no see."

Buffy showed up once the Magic Box closed. It was a nice day, and she was definitely pro-lazing on the beach any time. She flopped down on her towel. "Hi guys!"

"Hi Buffy!" Katara said, waving. "How are you?"

Annette opened one eye and waved at Buffy, "Hi, Buffy!"

"Hey Buffy!" Tori smiled and waved. "Gorgeous day, huh?" Yes, Tori was currently sitting on her towel, waxing her surfboard. She was totally tackling the surf, even if the waves were superior back home,

Since it was such a nice day out, Will grabbed her froggie print beach towel and made her way down to the beach. She was pleased to find that a whole bunch of other people had had the same idea.

"It's so nice out today!" she said happily.

"Will! I think the last time I saw you, we were ice skating. And now it's beach season," she grinned. "Obviously we need to see each other more!"

"I'm here!" Dawn announced as she set up her towel and thermos o' lemonade, complete with plastic cups. She had her swimsuit on under her shirt and shorts, but decided it was still too chilly to get that undressed.

John had the grill set up, and was already starting to make burgers and hot dogs. Mmmmmmmmmmm. He had the meat, Tori brought the buns, and there was a cooler of ice and 2 liters with some cups nearby.
