The Park - Thursday afternoon

Annette sat trying to read while Angel played near her with a dandelion. Reading, however, was not going as planned because she kept laughing at her kitty. She was just too cute to ignore. Annette still wondered at the gift-giver, but she would keep quiet about her assumptions. She loved Angel already and that was all that mattered. Growing up without a pet, it would seem, made it all too important now.

The day was pleasant and she was content.

At least for now.
