Beach, lunchtime Thursday

Tori had been nice enough to offer to teach Peter how to use her powers. Peter was happy to take her up on said offer and hoped to show his gratitude by bringing lunch.

So he was on the beach, bags with sandwiches and sodas and snacks in hand, and waiting for Tori.

[ooc: Peter's here for - wait for it - Tori. But feel free to use for other beachy needs.]

And that would be Tori arriving at the beach her mun finally finished with classes for the day.

"Hey Peter." She smiled and waved, as she made her way over to him.

"Pretty good, you?" Tori grinned. "I'm excited for the workshops to begin and see who we'll be getting as new students."

[OOC: No problem. :)]

"Oh yeah. That'll be fun." Tori chuckled. "Especially with everything that happened this semester. I imagine some of the new kids will be really weirded out." She couldn't help but grin at that. It would be fun to see some of their reactions.

"It really is, yeah." Tori agreed. "Oh, that would just be one hectic day if we had classes on top of new arrivals." She mused. "But, I think it should be fun, getting to see all the new faces and attempting to break their brains." Tori chuckled.

[identity profile] water-wonder.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 04:04 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh definitely." Tori nodded, smirking. "I still can't get over that."

[identity profile] water-wonder.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 04:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yes, I'm really glad for that." Tori smiled. She was glad no one had been seriously injured.

[identity profile] water-wonder.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
"Sandwiches, cool. Sure, why not." Tori shrugged, smiling. "No, not unless you really want to." She chuckled.

[identity profile] water-wonder.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
"Good plan." Tori smirked. She grabbed a sandwich. "Thanks."

[identity profile] water-wonder.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's kind of similar." Tori admitted. "Though I do have other powers." She explained (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tori_Hanson#Tori_Hanson) about her water power and the other ninja powers she possessed, due to training. "But what I use most of the time is my water power."

[identity profile] water-wonder.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Tori smiled and nodded. "Sure, it took me a few tries to get it. But once you've got the hang of it, it's a piece of cake."

[identity profile] water-wonder.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Tori chuckled. "I'm hoping it'll be the first one." She grinned, standing after finishing her sandwich. "Ready to try it out?" Tori inquired, checking out the ocean, spotting a good part to practice on.

[identity profile] water-wonder.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Tori grinned, amused. "Yeah, you probably should. One time when I was training and used this move, I ended up losing my balance and falling into the water. It wasn't very fun."

[identity profile] water-wonder.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 06:28 pm (UTC)(link)
"It shouldn't be too bad." Tori nodded. "Well, the way I've used the move before is when I was training. I'd run on land and continue until I hit the water. I'd slow to a stop and then usually practicing my water based techniques. It's really simple." She explained. "If you want we can do it that way, or we can move closer to the water and go from there."

[identity profile] water-wonder.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 07:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Tori thought about for a moment. "We could try the jogging part first. That might be a easier to manage."

[identity profile] water-wonder.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"Okay." Tori nodded. "I'm sure you'll be fine." She smiled reassuringly, moving a bit closer to the water. "Okay, ready?"

She closed her eyes for a moment and breathed out slowly, centering herself, to access her ninja powers. Opening she jogged at an even pace towards the water, moving her arm in front of her (http://www.mysticpoints.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=695&pos=9), helping her balance as she picked up a little more speed. She made it on to the surface of the water and slowed to a stop, spinning around to face the shoreline.

[OOC: Stepping out for a bit. Be back soon.]

[identity profile] water-wonder.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 08:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Tori grinned brightly. "Very nice. See? I knew you'd pull it off perfectly." She meant it.

[identity profile] water-wonder.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Tori chuckled. "I'm glad to have helped." She pondered his question for a moment. "Not that I can really think of. I'm not affected by the moon, like Katara can be." Tori explained. "But if you were to ever use this move, for any reason, I'd suggest a lake would be better suited, only because the ocean tends to get choppy and unpredictable at times. That might throw off the concentration."

[identity profile] water-wonder.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Tori smiled brightly, wondering when he was going to ask about that. "Yep." She pulled a flow of water out of the ocean and formed into a ball, hovering above her hand. "I can also create streams of water to blast things with. It's pretty powerful. Technically, I don't need to be near water to use my powers. I can create it by willing it." She'd come along way from that first day of training. "Katara has also taught me how to create ice flows and other things out of ice."

[identity profile] water-wonder.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
"Not bad at all." Tori smiled warmly at him. "You're a quick learner." She winked. "Is there something else you'd like to try while we're still here? Or back on land?"

[identity profile] l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Billy continued to improve, but he didn't want to push his luck with his ribs. Instead, he headed down to the beach for a few hours of meditating in the surf.

He picked a good spot, close enough for the water to let very edge of the waves gently wash over his lap, but far enough that he wasn't going to get wiped out.

"All right, then." Tori smiled after coming back from a comedy Roast and dinner, omg and nodded. "Oh, sounds great." She made her way back to shore, not that it was a long walk really.
