Fandom Post Office: Wednesday 9...ish-5pm
Katara had almost forgotten she had a new day to work at the Post Office.
Which was why she ran through the door way, way late and was hoping Gladys did notice.
Maybe Gladys did and maybe she didn't, but she didn't say anything. She just kept stacking mail into pigeonholes for the residents of Fandom.
Either way, she started to work.

Talk to Katara
Re: Talk to Katara
"This," he declared, "does not look like a place for food."
What a surprise; Yachiru's directions had proven false. She, beaming and grinning on his shoulder, seemed oblivious to...just about everything, so Kenpachi's eye went toward the girl behind the counter as if expecting clarification.

His answer to the girl was simple. "Yes."

He looked the girl over again. "...Are you a fighter, Katara?"

handwavilyright direction. And the Quik Stop is over there."Then his question caught up to her. "...I'm a waterbender. So yes?"

Although he was still unclear on the concept of how....accidents figured in. Because, hey. Accidents happened, right?
Yachiru nuzzled her nose into Kenpachi's shoulder, looking over at him with wide, happy eyes because he looked happy talking about fighting and a happy Ken-chan meant a happy Yachiru. They danced back over to Katara. "Are you taking Ken-chan's class, Bendy Water Girl? 'Cause then you could show me there!"
Re: Talk to Katara
She said to Yachiru. "I'm not taking that one, but I'd still be happy to show you." Her hand went back to her waterskin. "I can show something little now if you want."

Amused at the little girl's obvious excitement, she drew half of it apart into a second ball and tossed it up, chilling it quickly so snow fell over them.

"I can fight with it," she said.

His eyes darted to Yachiru, who had tried to catch the ball of water, which didn't work and so now she was soaked and giggling. The giggling halted immediately when she saw Kenpachi's eye on her, and she hid behind his shoulder.
"They told me not to let you leave the house with it unless you were going to class or training specifically. Too many accidents otherwise."

He...was really going to be terrible at this whole 'not picking fights with everyone you see' rule.
Re: Talk to Katara
She just pulled another flow of water out and froze it as she whipped a series of sharp ice discs at him.
Re: Talk to Katara
He charged for the girl, stooping low to compensate for the difference in height, hoping to grab her by the arm over the counter.

She melted the ice spike and pulled the water back to her.
"You're the craziest teacher ever. You're crazier than Darth Vader was."
Re: Talk to Katara
Awww. Kenpachi's shoulders sunk and he shook out his hand, splattering the wet remains of what was the icicle spike onto the floor. He flashed his psychotic grin at the girl as he rolled his shoulder into the pain.
"I'm borrowing this!" Yachiru chirped, a wad of paper in her hand as she hurried forward and hopped up on Kenpachi's back. She immediately began to dab at the wetness of water mixed with his blood. She shook her head. "You're wearing out this gigai so much, Ken-chan!"

She sounded strangely excited about this fact, still patting away at the wound with the papers as Kenpachi simply shook his head with a resounding chorus of bells, and headed out of the post office.
He hated having to leave things unfinished and still alive...
