The Causeway - Wednesday Evening

Kawalsky was busy strapping his bag to his new swoop bike. Room 223 was now empty. Goodbyes were all said. He'd walked out of the dorms and off school grounds for what might have been the last time.

Pulling the strap, he looked up past the town to the highest point of the observatory dome at the top of the dorms. It was hard to see in the dark, but a Stickbug flag flew high above the whole island. He grinned. It was his parting gift to the island. They'd see it tomorrow if they looked up.

The bag strap was fastened in place and Kawalsky pulled on his jacket. He glanced over at his traveling partner. "You ready to go?"

[OOC: For [livejournal.com profile] carter_i_am. This is Sam and Kawalsky's last post in Fandom. We love you long time!]

Sam glanced up at the flag and shook her head, "You're lucky you didn't break something. And yeah, I guess so. You have the remote I gave you?"

"It's a cloaking device for the swoop bike," Sam said nonchalantly.

"Why would we want the remote to make a doit-doit noise?"

"I'll see what I can do." Because coming up with the cloak itself wasn't cool.

"I hear there's a great restaurant at the end of the universe," she grinned, firing up the swoop bike. "I could go for a steak."

"Couldn't hurt to ask," she glanced back over her shoulder, then ahead towards the causeway, tamping down on exactly how much she was going to miss this place, "You want to go first?"

"Not if I see you first," she murmured, crouching down low to the bike so she'd lessen the wind resistance and catch up to Charlie easily.

She didn't look back.
