The Park, Sunday Early Evening
Well, it wasn't the beach, but it was just as relaxing.
It was the ducks that did it, really.
Lucifer sat on the bench, watching a brood of ducklings be herded away from the bench. The urge to loiter around for potential food near park benches was strong even in the young ones it seemed.
[[ooc: Open as parks tend to be, but Lucifer is there for the doctor]]

The bench which was currently occupied by the subject of much of the young doctor's thoughts the past few days.
Wilson considered walking on but he pursed his lips thoughtfully and continued on down towards the bench.
Lucifer probably already knew he was close and it would seem ... cowardly to walk away. Besides, as he'd said that night, he liked the Advesary's company.

"Dr. Wilson," Lucifer greeted him, not having to slid over on the bench. He hadn't taken the center, instead sitting toward the side as if expecting someone.

Leaning back against the back rest, he looked out across the pond and for a little while was content to be quiet. Certainly he could have remarked what a beautiful day it was but that seemed rather self evident and for the moment...
For the moment, it was a relief not to have been pushed away.

The ducklings continued to try and swarm around their feet, eager for any crumbs that might be dropped for them, but that was the only noise. Lucifer looked placidly out at the park, enjoying the beautiful day.

"They do that with Raphale as well," he said softly.

A tone that belied most of the tension he was feeling within.

Or they just liked angels. One of those two seemed like a likely answer.
"I should hope they don't try that with me." And, just as he said that, one of the more adventurous ducklings decided to settle down on his shoe. This was not dignified.

Wilson cleared his throat and looked politely away for a moment, pretending not to see the content little duckling as it settled it's downy feathers and adopted the proper brood position on Lucifer's shoe.
Allowing quiet to settle between them once again, Wilson seemed content to stare out at the pond for a bit.
"I think, in the cliche' versions of these moments, it would be my turn to say I was 'sorry' again. But the truth is, I'm not. Being so, would denote that I was in some way ashamed of how I feel and that would be a lie."

"I was not aware that there was a cliche about the relationship between a former ruler of hell, an angel and his consort," Lucifer replied dryly.
He might very well be making fun of the situation, one could never be certain with him.
no subject
"I do rather supose there isn't a manual about these sorts of things is there?"
no subject
Yes, he was most definitely mocking the situation.
no subject
There was little point in getting flustered over Lucifer's mocking of the situation. It would be like getting upset with the sun rising in the east.
no subject
"So you have no regrets over your feelings, hmm? And just what does Aziraphale think of this?"
no subject
"He has enough of his own emotions concerning you to deal with to be casting stones," Wilson said softly. "But he said that this is something that must unfold as it will and he feels that both you and he are lucky that I worry about you both."
no subject
Lucifer looked out at the pond as well, face going carefully blank as he assimilated this bit of information.
no subject
Outwardly he appeared calm and relaxed. Inward? Was another story entirely.

Stroking his tongue over his lips he frowned a little worriedly and finally turned towards Lucifer.
"I would like to see this become everything it can be for all three of us. I recognize that there is a uniqueness in the relationship you share and in what you can offer to my mate and I also recognize that rather than feel jealous or belittled that it is something I can't fulfill, I need to embrace what it can mean for him, you and myself."
no subject
"Then we will see what happens, won't we."
no subject
"You two really are more alike than either of you would ever admit," he whispered, caught at how Lucifer's words echoed Aziraphale's.

He was, perhaps, a wee curious about what Lucifer might think of that.
no subject
"Really? Was this before or after he learned of his fallen alternate self?"
